Listener comments!

  12:05pm
dc pat:

my friend was smart last night--he skipped the Super Bowl and the embarrassing Who and went to see the Residents instead...
  12:08pm
Chris:

Hey Liz.
@dp. then he missed The Fall performing at half-time.
  12:10pm
Liz B.:

Hey guys, the halftime show was so sad. The dinosaurs are FCC safe, though.
  12:12pm
Scotch:

Balfa Brothers!! And yes, the Who was much less than acceptable.
  12:14pm
Chris:

You got one guy who can't sing anymore and the other one likes to look at kiddie porn...nice job network.
  12:26pm
Carmichael:

Hi Liz and other people. I enjoyed the halftime yodeling band, but I was sad that there were no clog dancers. Did anyone notice James Carville's serpent head briefly during the trophy presentation? Scary if you're not expecting it.

Back to lurking and working ....
  12:28pm
Liz B.:

Hey Carmichael, I totally caught that shot of Carville's head! There's definitely a conspiracy behind that one...
  12:33pm
Chris:

Yeah for Chicago's Black Math!
  12:49pm
Ike:

That Balun track was especially good.
  12:51pm
still b/p:

Scratch artist!
  1:07pm
Chris:

The Bleepy Bloops should have played the super bowl.
  1:07pm
Timo:

The Who killed it!
  1:08pm
jeff-m:

yummy fuzz on this one for sure
  1:08pm
Bad Ronald:

Who killed Bambi? Biz Lerger well done!
  1:09pm
esch oder anarchie!:

I only half agree with your diss of the Who-perbowl. Daltrey was a sad codger but Pete was still rocking and worth watching. Did you notice there was also a band of kids onstage playing Who covers at the same time? That part was weird.
  1:12pm
gil:

I don't agree @ Roger Daltrey, thought he was powerful in voice and presence. Too many lights & fireworks tho; the who are enough themselves.
  1:14pm
Timo:

Roger can still sing, tho his harmonica solo sounded suspiciously like the recorded version.
  1:15pm
Chris:

I'm always suspicious when a game like the SB is close for most of the quarters...like when an NBA final ends on 7 games even when one team is far superior.
  1:24pm
Liz B.:

Well, I will concede that Pete was in better shape than Roger, but the whole thing was in slow-mo. Isn't it un-American to have a non-American band play the halftime show? I realize other foreign bands have played it in the past, but?
  1:28pm
Bad Ronald:

I liked Zak's cymbals.
  1:30pm
Chris:

I'm really curious as to why Pete T gets a pass on the kiddie porn stuff...if, like me, you don't believe he was doing "research."
  1:32pm
The Big T:

Scouting for a film...
  1:36pm
Rory:

Sonic Youth should have played the halftime. LOL
  1:37pm
Carmichael:

or GWAR.
  1:38pm
Rory:

Ha Ha!
  1:39pm
Jay from Scotland:

Was Charlotte Gainsbourg not available for the SB?
  1:41pm
omg:

BUTT GUT!!! god at least it wasn't steven tyler's labia this time around..
  1:43pm
omg:

wait when is yoko ono playing on briant turner's show???
  1:43pm
Liz B.:

Yoko will be interviewed (no live set) by Brian on Feb 16th, 3-6pm.
  1:44pm
Rory:

Feb 16th
  1:45pm
Rory:

Sorry Liz
  1:53pm
omg:

that's my birthday! hers is feb 18th. we're both aquarians. so like, we are bound to be best friends at some point, right? thanks for the info kids!lovin dis pump up the jam appropriation..
  1:58pm
Swami:

This reminds me of the band "Battles"
  2:09pm
Parq:

@Chris, 1:30: As The Onion put it, "Pete Townsend Can't Explain".
  2:14pm
William Swan:

I totally wrote down the info for that Applescal track.
  2:17pm
dc pat:

Chris: I'm curious as to why you don't?
  2:21pm
Parq:

Psychedelic Horse Pucky for SB '11 halftime -- yes we can!
  2:42pm
TC:

Dang this sounds good after two days without power.
  2:43pm
Chris:

@dcpat - you mean why i don't believe he was doing research? research? if i remember correctly, there where quite a few pics on his comp. if he wanted to do research he should have interviewed law enforcement notdownload kiddie porn
  2:46pm
Stuart Troutman:

WOW, I haven't heard that Iron Butterfly theme in over 30 years.
  2:51pm
Chris:

sorry to be a downer but...
the kid has no say when PT decides to do "research" using the image - the child is exploited when the abuse is photographed...then again when PT does his "research" who cares if he is a rock star - cut his balls off!
  2:58pm
Ike:

Wow, a lot of FMU fans seem to have actually watched the elderly hacks perform overplayed elderly music in the middle of a thing where big sweaty men jump on each other. I don't get it.
