Mon. 2/8/10 3:36am Katherine:

I had a nice birthday weekend! Facebook made it nicer--I received birthday greetings from old friends and new. I should have gone to a spa though! I'm going to dream of being in a korean whirly pool, yeah

Happy birthday, Katherine.

And yup, that's the place!

Mon. 2/8/10 3:55am Katherine:

Thanks!

I wish I could go. It's pretty far from Seattle. I'm googling for it here though...

Mon. 2/8/10 4:03am Joshua K:

Has anyone read Gravity's Rainbow? I have had good things about it, but it seems confusing as hell.

Mon. 2/8/10 4:08am jj.:

Read it over the summer. I enjoyed the slog, and there were some sections that absolutely melted my mind. Give it a few hundred pages. It definitely coheres (somewhat) after a little while.

Mon. 2/8/10 4:30am Joshua K:

Somebody I know had a companion guide to go with it but they never got around to reading the book anyway.
I'll just keep reading till it starts to stick.

Mon. 2/8/10 5:28am Joshua K:

"When you repressurize the airlock and get out of your suit, there is a distinct odor of ozone, a faint acrid smell," Jones told SPACE.com

Mon. 2/8/10 5:41am fred in helsinki:

Cool stuff ! Space is the place
