Darkness covers Chris Koch's musical world view with a twist of jazz. Which is not to say he's a complete pessimist. There are beautiful moments in the music, featuring members of the NJ outside jazzers Monkeyworks, also heard on his latest disc, "Scenes from the Coastal Evacuation." Chris Koch brought a live set and an interview twist for Irene to WFMU.

thank god for wfmu. i heard the second and third songs driving to burger king on the day this aired, fell in love with them, and didn't remember to look it up until today. after frantic googling of different variations on "horses, dream, wfmu", i finally found this.
so. good.
i greatly anticipate samamidon's album.
