I have to agree with you on the high placement of the Reigning Sound disc, Joe. It's the best straight-ahead rock disc I've heard in ages.

Yes. I also like the fact that it's pretty wise but not completely world-weary in the lyrics. Not a teenage record, more a record done by a band that's lived a bit and learned a few good lessons.
