Listener comments!

  Sun. 12/6/09 4:09am Stannerlee:

A very good morning to you Joe and greetings from Scotland. Thanks for a wonderful set, a great way to start the day.
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:11am Joe:

Greetings, Stannerlee! Thanks for tuning in from fair Scotland. Sorry if I sound a little out of it, I'm a bit tired.
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:11am Sue:

Good morning, Joe! Hi to everyone in radioland!
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:13am Joe:

Hey, Sue! Good morning to you and welcome! Been well?
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:20am Sue:

Yes, pretty much. Went out with some friends tonight. I think I had too much wine. Ugh, I feel a little ill. Otherwise, not too bad. How is it in Jersey City? Rainy or snowy?
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:23am Joe:

Not too bad. It snowed, but most of it melted already. Got a bad case of the "wine flu," eh?
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:25am Sue:

tee hee... I guess you could say that :)
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:26am Sue:

it's almost Single File time!
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:26am Joe:

Maybe some snappy pop 45s will make you feel better!
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:28am Sue:

I'm sure they will. You read my mind!
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:49am Jay:

just got up 10am here great music to make breakfast to and its raining again so thanks
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:50am Joe:

You bet, Jay! I could go for some flapjacks around now.
  Sun. 12/6/09 4:58am jay:

Is it not a bit early for flapjacks for you, thought you would be on black coffee
still. So you have snow thats way better then all this rain and flooding we are having in england. Well what weather you have in new york we get about a week later. so snow for London !!! :)
  Sun. 12/6/09 5:12am Joe:

Oh man, I know you guys have been getting washed away. Flapjacks are good anytime, but you're right about the caffeine.
  Sun. 12/6/09 5:30am Gibby:

I've only just tuned in - noticed you played Jack Rose - did you hear that he passed away last night? So sad.
  Sun. 12/6/09 5:32am Joe:

Yeah, it's a real drag. I just played a song, but I'm sure other people will do lengthier tributes. So young and such a stellar musician.
  Sun. 12/6/09 9:59am Mike Sin:

Jim Pewter/Saturday Revue singing about a Sunday Morning, huh? That one is new to me. Cool! What's the deal with that dude? It has that LA/John Phillips vibe to it. Any year on that 45? If you've got the original 45, you could probably guess a date range by the color of the RCA label.
  Sun. 12/6/09 12:24pm Joe M.:

Hey, Mike--Jim Pewter was an L.A. radio guy, so he probably knew all those people. He had a lot to do with the surf scene earlier on and also made a few of his own records. Sorry it took me a bit to date this one, but it's one of those yellow RCA promos that never have the year on them. It's from that fine year of 1969.
  Sun. 12/6/09 12:27pm Joe M.:

BTW, Mike, that record sounds to me like a pretty direct rip-off of "Darling Be Home Soon," so I think Jim had an ear turned to N.Y. as well!
