papaya man:
this reminds me of an article about kraftwerk in the late 90s in the guardian. they said ralf was living at his sister's house in " a room of which possessed walls and ceiling covered in mirrors"
Wed. 12/2/09 1:22pm
Cecile:
I always respected Kraftwerk because they were not only wrote amazing songs, but they have always been of the school where "an artist has a responsibility for what they put out." It's kind of interesting to hear the epitome of musical modernism have quite an old-fashioned attitude.
Papaya man, that's a cool story.

Wed. 12/2/09 2:44pm

You're pitchy, Jeff.
God, this song still brings the smell of burning chicken grease to my mind. I used to clean a restaurant kitchen to this 8-track overnights.
Wed. 12/2/09 2:47pm
Parq:
Classy save there, Miss Maria. Anyone else here old enough to remember when a WFMU deejay would have routinely let that skip go on for 30 or 40 seconds before fixing it? Would have been ca. 1982.
Wed. 12/2/09 2:51pm
