Parq, re: your comment about the DJs letting records skip for several minutes circa 1982, didn't that continue all through the '80s? Was the AOR mostly flushed out by '82? Lots of punk? Any disco? Some infamous prickly old FMU personality destroyed all the disco records, right? Newgarden?

I had no idea I grew up a couple of miles from where America's greatest piano player lived his last years in Highlands, NJ. Very informative, although a little infuriating that they didn't include that stuff in with the local lore of bootlegging gangsters and pirates when we were in grammar school history class.

Anyhow thanks for clueing me in.
