Wed. 10/14/09 12:17pm Sean Monthly:

.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:18pm AnAnonymousParty:

This Bacanal track sounds kinda tinny.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:18pm Carmichael:

Sean was reprimanded by his employer for having discriminating audio taste.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:22pm Cecile:

he pops in from time to time.
Billy Jam relayed him a message from us, and he said Sean was genuinely touched

Wed. 10/14/09 12:23pm dc pat:

OOooo, tinny, tinny, tinny!!!

Wed. 10/14/09 12:25pm Bad Ronald:

Frightful words.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:26pm BSI:

RAMAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Wed. 10/14/09 12:26pm maria:

dc pat-- that is the style of the young people making their 'lo-fi' recordings these days. what can I say. that is just the way it comes out of the system. perhaps a bit akin to our own excretions. it depends on what goes in one end.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:28pm dc pat:

ah, I was just riffing off of an old Monty Python sketch...I like the tinny stuff. the lower the fi, the better. Sounds good.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:28pm Bad Ronald:

Sausage!

Wed. 10/14/09 12:34pm gigio:

fantastic

Wed. 10/14/09 12:37pm dc pat:

here's the tinny sketch for Bad Ron and others:

Wed. 10/14/09 12:40pm wha?:

hoffnung = hope

Wed. 10/14/09 12:40pm BSI:

Don't fret, y'all.
Turn dat frauen upside dauen!

Wed. 10/14/09 12:41pm Bad Ronald:

Love it, thanks DCP.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:41pm dc pat:

hoffnung = hope

Wed. 10/14/09 12:41pm Karin:

Hoffnung means the hope

Wed. 10/14/09 12:41pm Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

per Babelfish: Hope of the women

Wed. 10/14/09 12:41pm wha?:

as in 'the hope(s) of women'

Wed. 10/14/09 12:42pm Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

A wry reference to Letterman, no doubt.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:43pm dc pat:

Leider muss ich ausgesehen haben erste...

By the way Germany is losing to Finland right now, sheesh! Put Schweinsteiger already...

Wed. 10/14/09 12:47pm Cecile:

oh, this is an oldie!
We saw BT at Mich Tech in '80 and partied with them in our sci-fi nerd way.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:47pm BSI:

Germany losing to Finland? WTeff?!?!?
England/Belarus is at 3pm today, methinks. $10 cover at Fado,
...desperately tempted to be suddenly "sick"...... snif..... koff.....

Wed. 10/14/09 12:52pm Cecile:

ok, what type of music can't Brother JT play?

Wed. 10/14/09 12:54pm wha?:

Forgive my ignorance, but this (Glowinya) sounds very Steely Dan. Any connection?

Wed. 10/14/09 12:55pm Cecile:

I was thinking Todd Rundgren myself.
Nope, wha?, he's just a garage rocker with great ambitions. That usually pay off wonderfully.

Wed. 10/14/09 12:59pm BSI:

absolutely.. .. the Brother JT+Vibrolux material is a roaring mind-humper.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:03pm dc pat:

"just a garage rocker" tsk, tsk. Cecile...

Wed. 10/14/09 1:04pm Carmichael:

I have this sudden urge to roller skate.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:07pm Cecile:

I meant a self-taught genius as opposed to the super-smooth, well-oiled LA session crew.
It wasn't meant to be derogatory, but rather descriptive.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:13pm Stuart Troutman:

Vanilla Fudge, right?

Wed. 10/14/09 1:14pm Stuart Troutman:

I always wondered who convinced them they could sing?

Wed. 10/14/09 1:16pm Lulu:

your show is so great! I now like Wednesdays so much more than before!

Wed. 10/14/09 1:20pm BSI:

Troutman: I've never been hip to Vanilla Fudge, but it sure sounded like there were singin' aspirations to Arthur-Brown-ism there...... a pretty lofty goal.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:20pm BSI:

oh, and huge thankies for the circulatory system!

Wed. 10/14/09 1:21pm Stuart Troutman:

Lofty goal, maybe...but a failure in execution.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:23pm maria:

I like the song, but yes, was on the verge of deepsixxing it before it was over-gets to be a bit too much bloviating eh?

Wed. 10/14/09 1:25pm north guinea hills:

This Grouper reminds me of early His Name is Alive.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:25pm Stuart Troutman:

Tim Bogert & Mark Stein applied the same 'white boy soul' excess to "You Keep Me Hangin' On" ("...an' theah ain't nothin' ah can do 'bout it!")

Wed. 10/14/09 1:28pm dc pat:

yeah but the music in their version of Hangin On is pretty cool. Guitars and drums are rawkin.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:29pm v k:

just wanted to say it was a relief to see your show on the new schedule...always a treat to tune into your program

Wed. 10/14/09 1:34pm fubs:

ah btw, hoffnung means hope.. hope of the women, was the title of the song

Wed. 10/14/09 1:36pm Jim frm B-Burg:

Don't JUMP!

Wed. 10/14/09 1:44pm zigaboo:

not a bad Cissy rip

Wed. 10/14/09 1:45pm Jim frm B-Burg:

Ok, jump, then.

Wed. 10/14/09 1:47pm maria:

Wed. 10/14/09 1:49pm Jim frm B-Burg:

Wed. 10/14/09 2:00pm Parq:

Scott Williams, you take off that Maria mask right now!

Wed. 10/14/09 2:01pm Cecile:

ah, yes! Was/not Was in their good, weird Detroit days.

Wed. 10/14/09 2:06pm Cecile:

I wanted to break every copy of Walk the Dinosaur with a hammer.

Wed. 10/14/09 2:17pm Jim frm B-Burg:

You are just a jumper, that's all!

Wed. 10/14/09 2:25pm the cleef:

boombastic!

Wed. 10/14/09 2:28pm Denise in Washington, DC:

Wed. 10/14/09 2:43pm GP:

Missed the Dream Warriors?!....that'll teach me.

Wed. 10/14/09 2:46pm Jim frm B-Burg:

Wed. 10/14/09 2:50pm nasok:
