hello ALF, hello WFMU listeners - espacially those fans of the Glen Jones Show with X Ray Burns who are on their cruise today celebrating their 2009 Marathon victory with a special nautical voyage around Manhattan, a maritime disaster waiting to happen! Advance ticket sales have officially ended for this event, but there will be a small number available for purchase at the dock on a first-come, first-served basis. More details on homepage of wfmu.org where you will be advised to feel free to pack a lunch for the boat ride. But the boat ride leaves at noon (same time shis show starts) so if you are reading this comment after that then either A) swim after the fun cruise or B) get a boat or dingy and row or motor after the vessel. Meantime - like Monica is a vessel for the music on her show (coming up later today @ 7pm every Sun) this show is merely a vessel for me to channel the vibe of the Glen Jones/X-Ray Burns show - a WFMU show I regularly listen to. Zats! I thought they were going to be broadcasting live from the boat. Oh, well. The show I remember most is the Johnny Cash set they played after Johnny died. Their on-air banter cracks me up each week.

hey regular listeners - the boat ride is on but the live broadcast part couldnt be worked out - so it will be recorded and played back on next week's show....meantime if you are not already on the boat -git on er swim shorts and hop in the Hudson and git swimming,,,now
