I read an article somewhere about them. They capture the cicada and then inject it with enough poison to paralyze it and take it to their underground burrow. Then they lay the eggs inside of it (the whole time while its still alive to keep the flesh from rotting) and the babies feed off it.

A lot of wasps do that. I once found a larder of spiders of every kind- all in a state of suspended animation just waiting to become a meal for wasp hatchlings!

interesting you played Yakety Yak (written by Leiber and Stoller) just when I was taking a peak at Harry Connick Jnr playing a southern baptist preacher at http://media.theage.com.au/entertainment/red-carpet/harry-connick-jr-a-hypocrite-778128.html? There's been a bit of a storm over here with a local variety program and a talent show segment allowing a group of guys to do a blackface skit and Connick (rightly) blew the whistle.
