This is my last show on WFMU for a while. Impending Daddyhood requires that I duck off the schedule, but when time permits, I hope to be around for fill-ins. Thanks to you all for a great summer! As always, you can keep track of my meanderings (musical and otherwise) on Read:My:Back. Sayonara!

Man, I'm gonna miss you. Will seem a little less like FMU without you. Impending daddyhood is a thrilling, scary and wonderful prospect. All the best.

Heaven sent was certainly Heaven Sent - I was crying by the end . It took me back to the time I heard Alice's restaurant in the mid 1970's and it went on and on ...(It was INCREDIBLE!). best wishes and kind regards Andy

Mike, it's been great to have you back for a few months! Your show: always a treat. Frankly, I don't know how you've been doing 6-9am. It's way harder than overnights, if you ask me.

By the way, I second all those nice things about Mr. Joe McG, but I think he--ever so modest-- told me that the Excavated Shellac comp. CD consists of MP3s he cherrypicked from the Excavated Shellac blog, not from his own private treasure trove. And it *is* a great blog: http://excavatedshellac.wordpress.com/

Thanks for playing Susana Bacca. Up 'til now, I had heard only her "Maria Lando". What a lovely, pure voice!
