I dont think it's a downer to memorialize musicians,Joe! I think it's a celebration of their contribution!

gumby:
Excellent point rubble! And since I can't keep up with the world at large I would have no idea of the passing of those who soothe, stir up or kick the ass of my musical soul. I would put Jim Carroll in th elater category.
|
Tue. 9/15/09 12:41pm
Cecile:

@Cecile: Did you see TW on DirectV channel 101 about a month ago? They played most of the album.

|
Tue. 9/15/09 1:42pm
Carmichael:
I also saw King Khan on some skateboarding show on the Speed Channel, or some other station I rarely watch. He was the studio entertainment in between shredder kids. Since I was in a bar, the sound was turned down. And the longer I stayed to figure out the show details, the less I was able to.

|
Tue. 9/15/09 2:25pm
Parq:
I realize that Rod S has arguably turned himself into exactly the sort of mega-mainstream asshole that FMUers love to hate. But I had friends who hated Rod & the Faces back in the day. And I'm sorry, you guys, but you were wrong.
|

Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:
Dylan's lyrics at its mocking best.
|
Tue. 9/15/09 2:31pm
Gp:
10-4 on that Parq. My friends Metalcore band always close their show with the Faces "Oh La La" just to do something different, the crowds love it, and so do they.
|
Tue. 9/15/09 2:33pm
Cecile:
I love Rod's voice. His taste is another matter. He needs a strong personality around him to keep him in line. that's great GP
|
Tue. 9/15/09 2:34pm
Carmichael:
Old dangerous Rod & Company were cool as hell. Ron Wood's steel guitar was kissable. New safe Rod belongs on K-Tel, alongside Richard Clayderman.
|
Tue. 9/15/09 2:35pm
Cecile:
Carm. Hell, yeah. | |

According to some FMU DJ (maybe Joe), Rod admitted that his "old lady music" recordings were not his own idea!
|
Tue. 9/15/09 2:45pm
