Listener comments!

  2:28am
hank:

howdy bill! always wondered what comus sounded like...thanks!
  2:31am
Bill Mac:

Hey Hank!
Me too! I hear folks around here name dropping them constantly so I was wondering what all the hubbub was about. not bad...
  2:48am
hank:

thats the first time I heard of them actually, when they reunited. They played on a boat of the coast of sweden or sum, with this other show-shy band of the guitarist Fredrik Thordendahl...good stuff for sure
  2:53am
Bill Mac:

It's pretty awesome that after all that time out of commission they would decide to take it to the water like that.
  3:02am
hank:

you got that right!
  3:26am

comments and playlist ... oh my
  3:29am
Bill Mac:

Yeah..... I wouldn't get used to it... Stans' carefree ways are king here on Tuesday mornings. I'm just passing through
  3:42am
(mta) Tony:

IF you'd like to have a skip-free COPY of the factory CD of this album, I'd be happy to send one to you. - Tony
  3:45am
(mta) Tony:

BTW, I WAS speaking about Enoch Light's Persuasive Percussion album.
  3:45am
Bill Mac:

Believe it or not I have two copies of the vinyl right here...
Listening to the music beds.... talk about hardcore...
  3:52am
(mta) Tony:

Well, the one you were playing was skipping like a bandit so I think you should throw it out.
  3:54am
Bill Mac:

Done.... out the window as we speak
  3:54am
M:

Persuasive Percussion, according to wiki, was the the first LP to use the gatefold cover. The liner notes state that the album may be used to test audio equipment, due to the stereo placement of sounds independently in either the left or right channel (something common today, but extremely innovative in 1959).

This is nothing to the actually discussion, but: Hey Bill, just working and surprised to hear from you on the web. There`s a lot of fill ins and we still like it here in Germany. Hope you `re exploring a new weekend life while"working" on the week.. Michael and Birgit
  4:01am
Bill Mac:

Michael... yeah, still getting used to the transition. I'm thinking of coming back in the fall, but then thinking it might be better to stay out til summer... truly good to hear from you and Birgit... hows the baby?
  4:01am
(mta) Tony:

M - Yes, M, you're quite right; The sound and cover were awesome for its time. I was raised on that album so I know it backwards and bought it on CD as soon as it was reissued. Now, if you're lucky, you can find a used CD for fifty bucks. The sound is amazing and was kept amazing on the CD reissue. I've been listening to that album since I was 6.
  4:03am
Bill Mac:

I've got Enoch Light's Provocative Percussion up next...
  4:11am
michael:

Thank you. "Bela" is fine and the parents almost tired....! But, it is something that seems to make life a sort of complete, you know. We are very lucky and are hopefully going out in a few month having some beers and see a band!!!!!!
  4:14am
