Wed. 9/2/09 7:04pm From: chris

Wed. 9/2/09 7:04pm From: Vicki

Ken's depressed

Wed. 9/2/09 7:04pm From: Vicki

it counted somewhere 15 minutes east of NY

Wed. 9/2/09 7:06pm From: Vicki

thought you'd like some BARBERSHOP

Wed. 9/2/09 7:06pm From: Their ID

They did it around 6:54; I've heard it farther from the ideal top of the hour than that on other shows sometimes. Ken asked them to redo it at the end but they were too busy spazzing. Ken can worry about it.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:07pm From: Vicki

Ken's gone back to his boat

Wed. 9/2/09 7:08pm From: Danne D

i was gonna try and call in to be the id guy - but just figured it woulda been done by the time i was on the phone given the internet lag.

Electric Coconut - very nice! :)

Excellent show so far :D

Wed. 9/2/09 7:08pm From: pfapfap

Hey, I did my best. My phone cut out when I was near the computer, so I didn't see him ask for it again. For the record, I was only calling in to suggest why they didn't get more callers. Jeff seduced and hypnotized me into being Coconut #2. I'm glad we're finally onto something that sounds pleasing to the ears.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:09pm From: texas scott

you have a very fun show, vicki.

and the plinth lives on...

Wed. 9/2/09 7:09pm From: Laura L

I hope Larry can help Ken get a crew for the boat.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:09pm From: Vicki

the plinth does live on - apparently there was someone on it on roller skates yesterday

Wed. 9/2/09 7:09pm From: Danne D

now for your tell all book: "Bananas: My Life as the 2nd Coconut"

Wed. 9/2/09 7:10pm From: paul

i hope the boat is equipped with corn weenies too

Wed. 9/2/09 7:12pm From: texas scott

has anyone just slept on the plinth?

Wed. 9/2/09 7:13pm From: G

This Supreme Evil mix is another classic.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:13pm From: Vicki

I don't know - most people seem to want to put up tents or an umbrella or stand there holding a carrier bag

Wed. 9/2/09 7:14pm From: Vicki

yes, this Supreme Evil is amazing

Wed. 9/2/09 7:17pm From: texas scott

HA! someone should set up a small bed, with bed table and alarm clock and have a snooze.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:19pm From: Vicki

I keep thinking about what I'd do on the plinth, a million ideas, and not one of them is worth shite. So Im glad to get the rejection email each month

Wed. 9/2/09 7:22pm From: Vicki

in case some of you don't know about the plinth, do a search fo One and Other - http://www.oneandother.co.uk/ - excellent mundane accomp to my show, I might add.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:24pm From: sabrina lane

hi vicki,,how are things in england? if you take requests and if you have it,,could you please play "DAISY A DAY" by spike jones jr,,,thank you vicki

Wed. 9/2/09 7:26pm From: Danne D

yeah I was clueless a bit, but I looked up the internets. Some guy is talking about the Help 4 Heroes fund which I can give a thumps up to.

Here's a good plinth classic news articles for folks like me not in the know:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/8233636.stm

Could we get Andy's Coconuts up on the Plinth?

Wed. 9/2/09 7:27pm From: obvious guy

just from listening for weeks i can tell that vicki's shows are carefully put together, and technologically can't be altered during the show.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:28pm From: Vicki

the plinth is rather like the National Lottery for the Arts but you don't have to have any idea in hell to get to stand up there. Just be able to hoist your body onto the crane and lay there for an hour. So actually, much like some art applications I've seen awarded, ha.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:28pm From: Vicki

you can never get too obvious, guy.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:31pm From: obvious guy

true dat. i thought it would be obvious how much production work goes into this. and thanks for it, of course!

Wed. 9/2/09 7:32pm From: sabrina lane

vicki,,you don't take requests?

Wed. 9/2/09 7:32pm From: Vicki

thankee

Wed. 9/2/09 7:33pm From: Danne D

I gotta request: keep up the wonderful work :)

Wed. 9/2/09 7:35pm From: obvious guy

you were so right about it being impossible to be too obvious. great show!

Wed. 9/2/09 7:35pm From: Danne D

This song makes me think Satan and the Satones would make a great band name.

Wed. 9/2/09 7:36pm From: obvious request

what you luv,is what i luv!

Wed. 9/2/09 7:38pm From: ?

Wed. 9/2/09 7:39pm From: Vicki

I'm not sure I even like what I play but I really do love it

Wed. 9/2/09 7:39pm From: Vicki

Wed. 9/2/09 7:40pm From: Danne D

Wed. 9/2/09 7:41pm From: Awwww

Wed. 9/2/09 7:46pm From: G

Wed. 9/2/09 7:46pm From: Vicki

Wed. 9/2/09 7:46pm From: Danne D

Wed. 9/2/09 7:48pm From: Laura L

I escaped Texas in 1982 myself! As with some of this music, I don't necessarily like Texas, I do love it. And here's one reason why:
