Did you play Minnie the Moocher? Ah, I missed it. Ever listen to Danny Elfman and the Mystic Knights of theOingo Boingo do their version? It was in Elfman's brother Richard's film "Forbidden Zone" (which they're trying to make a sequel to BTW). Good stuff -- lyrics completely changed, but for a good cause (you simply have to see it).

Oven at 425, 5 tbsp butter in a 3 quart baking dish. Mix 4 eggs thoroughly, add 1 cup milk or soy milk, then 1 cup all purpose flour and a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. Mix to an even consistency, pour in to butter in the baking dish. Give it a stir or two, bake for 20 minutes - it's a hangover simple popover! Top with syrup or powdered sugar.

Annie (or anyone), have you read any of Eliot Perlman's work? I recently found his novel "Seven Type of Ambiguity". He's an Australian writer; I hadn't heard of him before spotting the book in a bargain bin.

Annie, it's nothing to do with graphic/comic work. In fact, I don't know why I brought it up other than that it's one of my most recent reads and I'm curious about the author's other works now. (As I mentioned, it was kinda random.)

Just stopping in for a second. Annie, apple fritters may be nice, but you know what my favorite never to be eaten more than once a year treat is? Toasted plain donut with butter on it. Heart attack central, but so good.

but what i'd love the most is a huge heap of garlic mashed potatoes with tons of butter... and the potatoes should not be whipped, just mashed so there are chunks.. there is a restaurant around here that actually served mashed potatoes as a side dish... and they are just like that!
