IMMIMGRANT SUNS, FRANK PAHL & MARKO NOVACHKOFF perform live!!
It's been said Immigrant Suns sound like a meeting of The 3rd Eye Band, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, and Albanian Klezmer music.

It's been said Frank Pahl & his pal were sorta knifed by a member of Kraftwerk as teens.

It's been said Marko Novachkoff grew up building his own wind instruments.

With all this having been said, I need add only the following: here's who they are:

Djeto Juncaj - accordion, cello, nylon string guitar, santoor & qyteli
Joel Peterson - bass, vocal, oud & clarinet
Mark Sawasky - drums, percussion & vocals
Frank Pahl - Farfisa organ, euphonium, melodica, tenor ukelele & duck voice
Marko Novachkoff - baritone sax, clarinet, contralto clarinet, Bulgarian kaval & more wind instruments.

And here's the songs they played:
Immigrant Suns  Roots
Immigrant Suns  Pranvera
Immigrant Suns  Thin Blue Pledge
Immigrant Suns  Seven Steps to Heaven
Immigrant Suns  Capri / Bad Title   by Frank Pahl
Immigrant Suns  Hora Batu   trad. "The Don't Step on My Foot Hora"
Immigrant Suns  Hawill Tensa (Try to Forget)   (a cover)
Immigrant Suns  Hard Penguin   by Frank Pahl
Immigrant Suns  Albanian Favorite
Immigrant Suns  Lorau   (an actual snake-charmer's song!)
Thanks so much to Immigrant Suns, Frank & Marko for coming down & doing the live set tonight!
Thanks also to Chris Stubbs for yet again making it all sound so terrific.
