Listener comments!

Sun. 8/23/09 6:26am Bas, NL:

Good morning Dan! What an interesting show already. Best respects to Mr. Miller and his fine sound collages.

Sun. 8/23/09 7:08am mike cooper:

Hi there - perhaps the correct English name for the instruemnt is in fact JAWS HARP as its played in the mouth?

Sun. 8/23/09 7:11am Dan B:

Hi Mike

That's true, though Tom and I suspect jaws harp was a back-formation from jew's harp in an attempt to make the term more palatable.

Sun. 8/23/09 7:19am Bas, NL:

While listening a question is creeping up: why is there such a -seemingly- universal need in humans to listen 'bestranging' sounds and music?

Sun. 8/23/09 7:53am mike cooper:

Could you pass me a link to your thoughts about 'every true story should contain an un-true one' please

Sun. 8/23/09 7:56am Dan B:

@Mike -- from a post on Facebook: "* Last week, I decided to start beginning my show with the Velvet Underground's 'Sunday Morning' and ending it with Sonic Youth's 'Sunday.' I think each show probably also needs a heartfelt but possibly untrue story told in the middle somewhere as well. What do you think?"

Sun. 8/23/09 8:00am mike cooper:

Absolutely - Im a great believer in this theory and often pursue it when writing articles and even transcribing interviews - I would like to e mail you a recent example - a piece i wrote about Kraig Grady - if you are interested?

Sun. 8/23/09 8:02am Dan B:

Sun. 8/23/09 8:46am Bob G:

Thanks Dan and Tom . Great show! Something akin I've been pondering..
...how syncretic is reality? if that's the right word for it.

Sun. 8/30/09 6:59am the Grabber:

BODAH!! PICK UP THE PHONE!!

Sun. 8/30/09 7:33am The Grabber:
