  3:49pm Laurie:

I almost went to the beach yesterday, but I walked out the door and promptly walked back in. It was 97ºF, I'm pretty sure.

I floated around in the pool instead.
  3:50pm Laurie:

And Pseu, you really need to see this Wildwood Highlights clip here, as posted by Rich from Four Four who has previously documented the delights of South Jerz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eqCBCUawKY
  3:53pm wally:

There is indeed a Normandy Beach, New Jersey. (near Chadwick Beach)

Heya Danne.
  4:39pm Laurie:

I need more pictures of Billy Childish shirtless, please. I only have this one: http://i32.tinypic.com/s1uttv.jpg

I'm, like, "Hello, forearms."
  4:44pm Danne D:

Sorry Laurie, I tend not to collect bare forearm pictures of men :) Um, sending pics of me would not satisfy your forearm lust so I will spare you :o)
  4:46pm Laurie:

Billy Childish should never wear a shirt. Ever. Someone, please, sneak into his closet and burn all of shirts. Every one of them.
  4:56pm matt:

Is that Zachary Brimstead, Esq.?
  4:58pm Laurie:

Oh my lord, matt, I think you're right. It is.
  5:06pm Laurie:

The double f sound isn't pronounced any differently than an English f. It's just an f sound.

Also, I'm pretty sure "Blodyn Tatws" as "blahdeen tatoooos"

I don't know why, but the w sound in Welsh is pronounced with many oooooooo's.
  5:07pm Laurie:

My dad's a linguist. His penchant for studying unusual languages he'll probably have no use for rubbed off on me.
  5:31pm Danne D:

Laurie's always one of the more interesting commentators on the playlists :)
  5:47pm im a cunalingist:

yoy
  5:54pm Danne D:

Have a happy rest of your weekend, Terre!
Take care everyone :)
  5:54pm Jumpy:

I heard that Rick James was AWOL from the Navy at the time. His uncle was in one of Motown's band and got them signed.
  5:56pm Jumpy:

Terry Melcher used to put a 2nd and sometimes a 3rd basslin on the Raiders stuff (that one being an organ thought). Results were a great sound.
Don't ask my linguist status.
  5:58pm Jumpy:

Warsaw Club is actually Greenpoint, not Williamsburg.
  6:00pm Roger from Montclair:

Nice. I thought I was the only one who knew the Records. I love this song. Besides being a Big Star fan you also like The Records, nice. Now how about Ready, Steady, Go by Generation X. Thanks for making my afternoon.
