Regarding Bare Wires their new record is called "Artificial Cloud" but it looks like its only going to be out on vinyl (this is starting to bother me). They are going to tour in late summer and will be coming to Chicago (near where I live) but not New York.

Evan, I guess I am one of the three people listening that cared about what you said about WBCN. Really, I was shocked. I was just in Boston for the July 4th fireworks, on a boat in the Charles river listening to 'BCN at a boat party, and, with a couple of beers, it almost felt like the old days. While it is true the station is not what it once was, and, like you, I no longer live in Boston, I still associate that station with the city, and it certainly does seem like the end of an era.
