Wed. 7/15/09 3:10pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

"The study also found if you make it through Wednesday, your risk for suicide plummets by more than half the following day"

that's cause for a giant WOO HOO!

Wed. 7/15/09 3:15pm Lizardner Dave:

Memedacookie! Memedacookie!

Wed. 7/15/09 3:16pm GP:

This Amy Annelle sounds like slowed down Stevie Nix /Fleetwood Mac or something.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:16pm BSI:

DCE: Sounds great but I aint never been a gamblin' man.
Pass me that guillotine with the remote control, willya?

Wed. 7/15/09 3:21pm AnAnonymousParty:

What could be more appropriate than a taped interview of Amanda WITH ambient noise?

Wed. 7/15/09 3:21pm a guy in a chair in a cube:

Amanda interview? Theres another reason not to commit suicide.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:21pm GP:

Irwin..thanks for not letting us down and securing the Amanda Interview..totally looking forward to hearing that.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:22pm Lizardner Dave:

Thank you for the Amanda. I needed that at this point in the day.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:22pm jon:

Amanda!!!! yes... amanda. Sounds like Amanda with a melotron

Wed. 7/15/09 3:25pm BSI:

Praise Allah that the guillotine was long overdue for a sharpening. Thus I was able to enjoy Amanda while bleeding profusely all over my sewing-kit, praising life and wanting to live just a little longer... at least until the Amanda interview is aired...

Wed. 7/15/09 3:36pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

I wish they still made TVs with Technicolour.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:42pm Webhamster Henry:

Where's Shooby Taylor when you need him?

Wed. 7/15/09 3:43pm GP:

This is the best thing I have heard all week!

Wed. 7/15/09 3:51pm Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Is not affixing "untitled" to a song in fact itself a title thus undermining the supposed untitledness of it all??

Wed. 7/15/09 3:53pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

only if the artist him/herself affixes said "untitle". if the artist leaves it completely blank, then the goal is achieved.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:54pm amandafan:

...wondering if you'd unearthed any new "amanda" traxxx this week.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:54pm Irwin:

The songs surely have titles, but this home-burned CD is devoid of info except artist and disc title. When I learn track titles later, I'll edit the accu.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:56pm Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Ah! Thanks Irwin.

Wed. 7/15/09 3:59pm Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Pikelet sounds like she is employing Frippertronics. Call Robert Fripp.

Wed. 7/15/09 4:01pm BSI:

We're un-moderated!?!?!
It's like intellectual skinny-dippin'!
WHOOOOO!

Wed. 7/15/09 4:03pm Parq:

Wed. 7/15/09 4:06pm Sir James Dyson:

Have you lost suction Irwin?

Wed. 7/15/09 4:11pm Parq:

The track playing just now has a Ray Scott sound to it, yes?

Wed. 7/15/09 4:13pm jan:

Sugii music is great to hear- thanks!

Wed. 7/15/09 4:15pm just a guy:

Did this guy get put down by the empire then? Or drafted?

That period wasnt really "pre-war" in Japan since they invaded china in '37.

It does sound very western, I don't know anything really about Japenese society during the war but I cant imagine the western influence going well with the all the nationalism.

Wed. 7/15/09 4:15pm GP:

Parq..you are reading my mind...I thought I was hearing Looney Toons there for a minute...it seems he recorded this around the same period....

Wed. 7/15/09 4:18pm Irwin:

Wed. 7/15/09 4:34pm texas scott:

what is 'oo,oo,ah,ah,tookie,tookie!

Wed. 7/15/09 4:37pm Playlist Jeopardy Judges:

Artist or song a few tracks back answers the vacation question, but one is more fun/appealing in the answering and the doing.

Wed. 7/15/09 4:37pm Parq:

Irwin, I totally share your enthusiasm for FOW. If you've worked with them, I'd love to hear about it.

Amanda and her brother along with various other kids made a bunch of tape recordings some years ago. Now they have been found and are provided by Irwin for our listening pleasure...In fact he has a live interview with the current version of Amanda ( now like 30 years old) coming soon..stay tuned....and oh yea...see the links LD posted above.

Wed. 7/15/09 5:44pm CB:

its terrible when drunk though

Wed. 7/15/09 5:47pm BSI:

It's at times like that, when a trusted friend shares a little of what popular culture is enjoying in music these days, that I'm reminded how IGNORANCE is indeed, BLISS.

The underground keeps me warm and cozy. It's nice down here in the freak cellar.

Wed. 7/15/09 5:52pm texas scott:

cease tryin to forgive those who wronged u
aim to kill the self within,
not until then will u find
there is nothing that even remembers the injury

Thu. 7/16/09 12:56am Nichele Black:

O.K. Irwin, we're now Amanda devotees. At first I thought she was just another of our freaked brethren, but upon researching her brother's recordings, what a trip into the twisted childhood, that we should have had...We are now enlightened

Sat. 8/1/09 11:30am Evelyn Morris:

I can give you a track listing for the Pikelet CD Irwin. It's the Pikelet Album:
http://www.chaptermusic.com.au/artists.asp?id=75

You'll find the track listing on there. Some of the CDRs from the tour have also had an extra track... track 14... if so, that track is called "It's Easy". If not... sorry!
