My RS-B11W is slowly croaking. Hence, I sound slooooooowwwwww. I had to try and speed it up at the WFMU studios dduring the show. Hence (Part 2) sometimes music is faster or slower than it ought to be. WFMU technical guru Mark Slaughter (not the hair band guy ... too bad!) has supposedly exhumed and re-animated one of my old decks. Unfortunately, I LEFT IT AT THE STATION Thursday night, so ... another week with the dying quail.

My wife and I visited the mineral spring baths at Big Sur. After toweling off, we observed blackening of our silver jewelry. We were told it was the result of sulpher in the waters of the mineral baths. We were also informed that common toothpaste or Tarn-X would alleviate the problem. However, I have chosen to keep the tarneshing as I feel it actually adds to the aesthetic appeal of the jewelry -- in effect, giving me a "tougher" outward appearance ... grizzled and time-worn.
