TD's sounding really good. Any news about Knox?

Thu. 6/18/09 3:06pm From: esch oder anarchie!

Love tall Dwarves but saw Know live once and hated him. What's up with that?

Thu. 6/18/09 3:07pm From: Marshall Stacks

Thanks for the nice Dwarvish opener, Wm.!

Rise, William, Rise!

Thu. 6/18/09 3:09pm From: esch oder anarchie!

Ouch! -- I retract the neg on Knox. Hope he's recovering and comes back to play more shows to prove my earlier self a clueless doofus.

Thu. 6/18/09 3:22pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

*tap tap* is this thing on?

Thu. 6/18/09 3:28pm From: Wm.

What're you trying to say, Wendy? Do I sound awkward on mic?? Too sober, I guess....

Thu. 6/18/09 3:31pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Oy vey, Wm. No such thing! I had tried to post a comment before and it never appeared. I bet I hit "cancel" instead of "post" and that's why, so I was simply testing the equipment.
You need some cheese.

Thu. 6/18/09 3:32pm From: Wm.

But I AM awkward...terribly awkward UM ERR AH

Thu. 6/18/09 3:35pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Well I must be awkwarder (highly likely) because I didn't notice. DURRRR...

Thu. 6/18/09 3:37pm From: Wm.

I DO need cheese! And some VERY moldy rye bread.

Thu. 6/18/09 3:38pm From: Wm.

...so I can be more awkwarderer

Thu. 6/18/09 3:40pm From: Ralph Kramden

homina-homina-homina-homina...

Thu. 6/18/09 3:42pm From: esch oder anarchie!

What is this, some kinda twofer?

Thu. 6/18/09 3:43pm From: just a guy in a chair in a cube

Awkwarder sounds like it shouldn't be a word, but it apparently is. It's an adjective but I feel like it would be a good a title, like "I am The Awkwarder! Feel my wrath and look around self consciously!"

Thu. 6/18/09 3:44pm From: Wm.

It's a 15-fer.

Thu. 6/18/09 3:44pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Cheese I got, maybe 4 or 5 kinds in the house right now. But I'm one of those weirdos who actually throws away her moldy bread. Can't help you there.
But if it's acid you want...
Just kidding. i wish.

Thu. 6/18/09 3:45pm From: BSI

ABSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

Thu. 6/18/09 3:46pm From: Jed

Thu. 6/18/09 4:03pm From: Wm.

Hey Spikey Mike...it was great seeing you! Thanks for hanging out.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:04pm From: Jed

Hi Wm

Thu. 6/18/09 4:06pm From: paulc

my flatmate thinks Akitsa are shite...I don't think much either..all the best from UK!

Thu. 6/18/09 4:07pm From: Ike

Although my constitution is not steely enough for any black metal today, you have to love labels with names like Christhunt Productions and Nuclear War Now! Heh.

Mmm, cheese. What kinds?

Thu. 6/18/09 4:07pm From: Jed

my flatmate is dead because he insulted Little River Band

Thu. 6/18/09 4:10pm From: paulc

play little river band, keep jed from killing flatmates. it can get expensive living on your own...little river band..who??

Thu. 6/18/09 4:13pm From: tramshed

I am looking forward to the summer schedule.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:13pm From: Wm.

The day I play LRB is the day I blow all the guys in Akitsa--maybe tomorrow.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:14pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Ike, I have some raw-milk cheddar made from the milk of cows grazing in Hunterdon County (NJ); the cheese itselfy is made in Berks Co., PA. Then I have some plain ol' fresh chevre from The Cheese Guy Co. (freebie I got at work), very good. I have some Italian Grana Padano Riserva for grating etc. Nevat (sheep) made by Josep Cuixart in Spain. Vallee d'Aspe Brebis (Ossau-Iraty) from the French Pyrenees. And some Cabot Clothbound Cheddar aged in the cellars at Jasper Hill (VT). I think that's it.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:15pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Wm., make sure you get some pictures.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:16pm From: tramshed

Holy shit, I love this Diamatregon stuffs, is it still purchasable?

Thu. 6/18/09 4:19pm From: Wm.

the Diamatregon is a new CD

Thu. 6/18/09 4:20pm From: tramshed

Nice, thank you.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:20pm From: tramshed

Also, woot, 420

Thu. 6/18/09 4:22pm From: BearJaw

High!

Thu. 6/18/09 4:24pm From: Art Smass

This music will kill any rye mold exposed to it on contact. (Ergot, you got?)

And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:25pm From: Jed

that's funny because they asked about your oral talent

Thu. 6/18/09 4:32pm From: Jed

Little River Band did an LP of metal in 1978, very rare, they cover NIB.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:40pm From: Jed

Pink Floyd is named after LRB's miniature pony

Thu. 6/18/09 4:41pm From: doug from dc

That LRB album had the metal version of Lady, right?

Thu. 6/18/09 4:42pm From: Jed

Little River band is an anagram of Blander Liver Tit

Thu. 6/18/09 4:44pm From: Jed

Wm hates me because my cell phone plays "Reminiscing"

Thu. 6/18/09 4:46pm From: Wm.

Yeah Jed, THAT'S why.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:54pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Jed, I'm sure that's the one and only reason.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:56pm From: doug from dc

Excellent track from Robedoor and the album title sounds appropriate, too.

Thu. 6/18/09 4:57pm From: jutty

i liked that

Thu. 6/18/09 4:57pm From: Ike

I agree with Doug from DC.

Wendy, those cheeses sound great. What's the Nevat like?

Thu. 6/18/09 4:58pm From: Wm.

Robedoor are amazing...I only hope they will visit WFMU soon...hopefully on my show.

Thu. 6/18/09 5:00pm From: Wm.

More info on Robedoor .. you can buy their stuff from fusetron sound, and others:

Thu. 6/18/09 5:01pm From: slugluv1313

hello Mr. Wm. Berger!!!!!! how lovely to hear you on WFMU again! i am stuck home sick on this dreary day (altho'-i-kinda-like-dismal-days) and what you have been playing sure helps me to feel better!

even tho' i am bummed that Mr. FABIO will not be on, i AM happy to hear that you will be having a regular show in the summer too, woo hoo!

Thu. 6/18/09 5:03pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Yeah, I'm submitting another vote for Robedoor. And this Sylvester Anfang II is pretty kickass, too. perfect soundtrack for the day.

Ike, I only bring home great cheese! nevat looks sort of like a big cloud of a cheese, prob about 3 kilos or so. Fluffy white outside (that would be penicillium candidum, aka "bloomy rind"), inside is fairly soft but a little flaky, too. just beneath the rind sometimes it has a creamy texture. it tastes on the mild side, earthy, mushroomy, a little grassy from the sheep milk and the bloomy rind.

Thu. 6/18/09 5:04pm From: Wm.

Wendy, I just drooled all over the console....

Thu. 6/18/09 5:04pm From: doug from dc

thanks Wm., I'm checking out the not not fun site. I sometimes play cello through massive distortion/amplification, and when I heard about Robedoor doing this, I started to check out whatever I could find in the FMU archives, youtube, etc.

Thu. 6/18/09 5:07pm From: Wendy del Formaggio

Oh gee, Wm., I'm so "sorry."

Thu. 6/18/09 5:22pm From: Chris

current song is awesome. instrumental.

who is it?

Thu. 6/18/09 5:29pm From: Jed

Wm - do you hate me because I made you listen to Tourettes?

Thu. 6/18/09 5:31pm From: Wm.

That song was by Wildildlife...not an instrumental, just from a crap cassette

Thu. 6/18/09 5:31pm From: whitewatersky

oh, i see....
Wildildlife ?

Tourettes - their singer was jumping on stage with Hard-Ons for Suck n Swallow every show for a while there back about 6 years ago. we used to watch em seems like every month back then

Thu. 6/18/09 5:31pm From: doug from dc
