Your set is so quite lovely, so I have decided to wake up all of New York right now for it. This will take 15-20 minutes. Please stand by for the 3.8 million listeners about to tune in.
  Sun. 5/24/09 8:08am JimDe:

"Calvin Johnson" is the guy in Beat Happening (wikipedia). Great show!
  Sun. 5/24/09 8:12am Richard Riddden:

i loved beat happening. believe it or not i first got into them by hearing ian mackaye mention them n a interview saying they were his fave new band. so i picked up vinyl in the city. fell in love with them.
  Sun. 5/24/09 8:12am Betsy:

Thanks for the wiki, Jim. Yeah, Calvin Johnson. Awesome.
  Sun. 5/24/09 8:16am ?:

Calvin Johnson- founder of 'K' foreshadowwaypaver for Phil Elvrum (Microphones/Mt. Eerie) and in turn Adrian Orange (who has releases on both 'K' and Marriage Recs. Small world.
  Sun. 5/24/09 8:34am Tom L (Hallock Hill):

Oh my, the Archer Prewitt is right up my alley. Pure stereo bliss. Headphone madness.
  Sun. 5/24/09 8:56am Dan:

Excellent set, Betsy! Perked up my afternoon here in the UK no end. I have also decided to wake a few people up. Get ready for ~60 million odd new listeners from here over the pond. Eat that NY City!

That track by Bavon Marie Marie was quite excellent.
  Sun. 5/24/09 9:00am KUMA:

Hi betsy~, Ive stayed tune tonight, of course.

Listening to the archive... I was hoping you'd play a Paul Revere and the Raiders' track -- after "eavesdropping" in the station library! ;) I'm enjoying the show!
