A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  9:14am
George Eliot:

It's a total groove so far...
  9:27am
Vivian:

Morning all! Thank you for last week's flick requests. Ultimately, I rented Happy Go Lucky and Bad Education. Happy was very uplifting whereas Bad Education gave good plot twists. I plan to watch Dead Man either this weekend or next.

"Yeah, when they start givin' away lavash at the post office," has long been familiar in the "when hell freezes over" and "when pigs fly" family of expressions emphasizing scoffy non-expectation...and now look. And me and Satchmo think to ourselves, what a...
  9:41am
Cecile:

...delicious flatbread excellent with cheese and peppers?
  9:42am

Hey Lynn, great track - trad Mor Lam blended with rock - but ya got it backyards. The artist is "Meas Samoun", not the title! According to farsidemusic.com: "Meas Samoun is Cambodia's first comic singer. His songs would often feature a character in comical situations."
  9:56am
Rob W:

Joe:

Hey, Trouble--If you're a Netflixer, you can get "Sleepwalking Through the Mekong" on DVD. It's a really great doc of the band going to Cambodia to play shows and meet musicians. Recommended!
  10:09am
still b/p:

Here's crazy talk: Can the playlist layout be time-stamped at all, even just at the half-hour, so finding particular tracks is a little easier in a later re-listen?
  10:11am
tombom:

it already is? check the past playlists. unless you mean something else, although i'm not sure what
  10:16am
trouble:

still b/p: the playlists (if a dj does time stamping) all start at zero and proceed numerically up. So do the half hour addition and that will get the area you are looking for.
  10:16am
