Playlist for Irene Trudel - May 11, 2009

Mondays 3pm - 6pm on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Music floating on calmer seas is "netted" by my ears and released to the hungry listeners. It's a stringy catch, but frequently live and always delectable.

Notable for creating spatial landscapes for acoustic and electric guitars, Peter Biedermann has been making ambient music since 1977. Biedermann's latest, an EP entitled "Rumination," continues soaring off into space in that tradition. Peter has been a frequent guest on Irene's show, and also hosts his own program called "Sound In The Head" every Wednesday evening at 9 on the internet based Home Grown Radio New Jersey. Peter Biedermann brought his string wizardry to WFMU's Love Room for a live performance.
