Welcome to WFMU - the best goddam radio station ever, anywhere....for reals.....This episode is deciated to diehard FMU fan LS Monkey, an artist who regularly paints as she listens to shows on WFMU. A NJ native who lives in West Oakland - LS Monkey is pictured left with her dawg Lulu and her car with WFMU sticker. WFMU is a very tangible part of LS Monkey's life. It was thanks to a mututal love of WFMU that she met her BFF/boyfirend Timi D... and, sadly, upon her dad George Chase''s tragic sudden death twp months ago she reached out to WFMU (playlist/archive = http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/30733) to help mourn her New Jersey dad. .......This show is the sixth last one of this season as we tick down to the summer of '09. Thanks to everyone who listens to WFMU + don't forget later this evening and again on May 20th Dave the Spazz School of Rock Fundraiser for WFMU May 15th and 20th! Join us for an evening hosted by Dave the Spazz, with handpicked-by-Dave music performed by local branches of the Paul Green School of Rock and the School of Rock Allstars! A chimpified, sonic soiree of overmodulated, toe-stubbing rock and roll music as performed by junior high and high school kids! Shows are Friday May 15th at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park NJ and Wednesday May 20th at BB King's in midtown Manhattan! Ticket info at their sites! Proceeds benefit freeform WFMU!!

Devin: no I have yet to ever go to the Atlantic Coast (except maybe when I was little and can't remember). I stayed around Montelimar, Masaya, Jinotepe, that area. I've heard a lot of great things about the East though so next time I think I'll go that way.

Friday May 29th will be live music feed from Spain from the Prima Vera Festival in Barcelona. Friday June 5th will be Live from Belfast. Friday June 12th will be the annual WFMU Graffiti Special with Jim and Karla Murray and Miami graf artists TBA plus Wallnuts crew artist DEMER. And the final show of the season, June 19th, will be live freestyle blowout jam in Studio B with Bryce (drums) DJ ALF (ones and twos) Scott Willliams (instruments found on the train) and yer moms on drugs.
