Hanne Hukkelberg Bygd Til By Blood from a Stone Nettwerk

Ok, this album has made my shopping list and the track isn't even finished yet

Sun. 5/3/09 10:30pm From: Nastya O.

well, and about Hanne Hukkelberg: the song that Bethany played for us is a tease! I also got intrigued, went and looked up the girl - other songs of hers that I discovered on youtube sound very generic - some sweet voiced folk of expired fashion with obligatory deer and own looking from behind.

Sun. 5/3/09 10:32pm From: Nastya O.

(I meant owl). And tell me Bathany, am I being to harsh on the girl? Because you'd know better.

Sun. 5/3/09 10:33pm From: bethany

Well...all I know is that Hanne Hukkelberg's "Ease" is one of my most favorite songs, have played it on the show many times. Can't speak for everything she's done, but I have a lot of enthusiasm for a lot of her work.

Sun. 5/3/09 10:36pm From: Staubgold

It's very late where I am and I really should be in bed, but after a fun night out with some friends, I can't stop myself from checking out the great sounds on WFMU. Do I have a problem?

Sun. 5/3/09 10:38pm From: Jon

No, Staubgold, you're fine

Sun. 5/3/09 10:38pm From: Staubgold

Phew!

Sun. 5/3/09 10:39pm From: bethany

You can solve that problem by listening to the radio while in bed! I promise for lullaby-ish sounds, but not until the end.

Sun. 5/3/09 10:42pm From: dan in falls church VA

ok, how about hukkelberg's new album BLOOD FROM A STONE, from which we heard a track? does anyone have any opinions about that album as a whole? or...it's still pre-official-release -ate, perhaps no one has yet heard it...

Sun. 5/3/09 10:45pm From: Staubgold

Thankyou Bethany...and a belated on-line thanks for your postcard from some months ago ;-)

Sun. 5/3/09 11:17pm From: drew in carroll gardens

Sun. 5/3/09 11:26pm From: Staubgold

This is wonderful, but I really need to switch off and go horizontal now. Will catch up on the archive. Goodnight all.
