Hey Rex! We met at the marathon. I was answering phones when you were co-hosting - I sat right next to you. Welcome back to the airwaves.

Your wife listens to this show?? Kidding. I never miss it and often replay it during the work week. Thanks for the years of that crazzzzzy music.

Sat. 5/2/09 1:31pm From: Michael

You don't have to be a "fool" to listen to "Fools Paradise" but it helps. Love the show!

Sat. 5/2/09 1:35pm From: Dan Howell

What was your favorite act at Ponderosa Stomp? Mine was definitely Cyril and Ron from Flamin' Groovies. WFMU should have hosted an event down there.

Sat. 5/2/09 1:35pm From: ted

P Stomp was great. Does anyone have contact info for Josh Styles? (I don't do Myspace)

P-Stomp
Funnel of Love - Twice! Wanda was in much better voice than I expected.
Now a bonafide Mug-N-Bun, Lockhart, and Ponderosa Stomp alumni.

Sat. 5/2/09 1:53pm From: ted

As someone said from the stage, The nice (or was it sweet?) lady with the nasty voice.

Sat. 5/2/09 1:55pm From: Joe R

To Lando- One of Rex's themes is "Shawnee" by the Premiers. I have it on the Desperate Rock n Roll V 3 comp. I'm sure Mr D has it on a 45, probably also autographed by all the band members.

Sat. 5/2/09 1:58pm From: jmd

Wow! This Chicken Pot Pie track is way fantastic. Thanks.

Sat. 5/2/09 2:00pm From: Dave Rhoden

Sat. 5/2/09 2:03pm From: hazmania

I never knew she was so tiny. They literally had to put a footstool down so she could get into the van when she left. It's crazy hearing that voice whooping, yodeling, etc. so strongly from such a small, frail lady. It's great she is getting the accolades she deserves. Surreal moment - on the balcony listening to Roy Loney describing what a great, friendly guy James Burton is backstage while turning into Bonnie Raitt entering as I head to the bar.

Sat. 5/2/09 2:04pm From: Mupp

Careful which melons you be thumpin

Sat. 5/2/09 2:05pm From: danhowl

Sat. 5/2/09 2:07pm From: ted

I just substitute cheeses for jesus whenever that happens

Sat. 5/2/09 2:08pm From: hazmania

Sat. 5/2/09 2:12pm From: Joe R

Sat. 5/2/09 2:15pm From: Mupp

Sat. 5/2/09 2:17pm From: ted

Sat. 5/2/09 2:18pm From: hazmania

Did anyone else hit the record show? I arrived with 20 minutes left and really didn't get to look much. I did score a mint copy of The Addicts Sing though.

Sat. 5/2/09 2:57pm From: Daddy-o Dilly

I am about half way through John Broven's wonderful book. I just finished his interview with Gene Goodman. PLEASE read this book! See if your library can get a copy on the shelf!

Sat. 5/2/09 3:01pm From: Joe R

Is Broven's book kind of like Charlie Gillette's "Sound of the City"? That book opened my eyes to the influence the independent record companies had on the growth and spread of rock'n'roll.

Sat. 5/2/09 3:03pm From: Daddy-o Dilly

Joe: You're right on target, brother!
