This episode of Put The Needle On The Record is dedicated to the late great hip-hop artist Trenton NJ's Tony D who died in a car crash in Hamilton NJ last weekend....Thanks to today's guests: San Francisco one woman-band Mira Cook and Dundalk, Irleand spoken word artist Jinx Lennon who I interviewed in his hometown two Sunday's ago and edited down to playback today. Also shout out to Genesis P Orridge and the reformed TG who will be guests live on Fabio's show next week (tune in) and whose interview with him on KALX in April 1992 I conducted and replayed today as a primer for Fabio's show when WFMU listeners can call in live and talk with Genesis and Co.. BIg shout out to artist MARS-1 whose art adorns the top of playlist and also body of playlist - all pics I snapped some weeks ago at the downtown Manhattan/Chelsea district Jonathon LeVine Gallery in a show titled Natural Mystic. Picture at bottom of playlist is of three garbage cans outside Amoeba Music SF few years ago...These pictures, like near all the photos posted on all my playlists, are taken on my jenky lil cheapo digital camera......>> - Next week guests will be Shing02 and DJ Icewater. In two weeks (4/24) I willl be so lazy that I will just call in the show (iva broadband) from my living room in Queens, New York with turntable and mic guests TBA next week on the "UPCOMING" section of this website.
