Mon. 3/23/09 9:35am annie:

JJW -he comes from upstate.. i never tire of hearing his singing

Mon. 3/23/09 9:48am Doug from DC:

Cool, Hatch is back. I remember this Black Randy from back in the day. The original cover was a parody of Hunky Dory, in black-and-white, but still the grainy photo of Bowie's cover pose. Has it been reissued?

Mon. 3/23/09 9:49am Hatch:

Yeah, reissued on double LP. With the original cover.

Mon. 3/23/09 9:52am lightningtodd:

Yeah! Melbourne prog!

Mon. 3/23/09 9:57am JCityJensen:

HELL YEAH! IT'S DEATH! - is this from the 7" or the re-release!

AWESOME 1974 AWESOME

Mon. 3/23/09 9:58am Hatch:

From the reissue. Wish I had the original... I could use it to pay my rent for the next month or two!

Mon. 3/23/09 10:01am Lupica:

ACCCK! I was gonna open with this Death track, Hatch! Fight in the parking lot, dude.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:02am JCityJensen:

Mon. 3/23/09 10:10am Pearlÿ Sweets:

bummer city, I missed Black Randy. Boo-urns.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:17am Hatch:

You mean I'll have to eat a corporate farmed, genetically engineered hat supplement instead of a fresh, organic, homegrown hat.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:18am annie:

Mon. 3/23/09 10:23am Cecile:

Mon. 3/23/09 10:37am Cecile:

Born, born to be a fly. Born to be a fly.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:38am Born to Be a Fly:

Borrrrn, in this fresh cow pie, I was, borrrnn in this fresh cow pie!

Mon. 3/23/09 10:39am Hatch:

Uncle Davey... Fly Girlz is brand new, Visitors is from 1974. Not sure which you were asking about.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:43am Doug from DC:

Unknown? That's a shame, these guys should be remembered. Whoever they were.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:44am Dirty Uncle Davey:

Fly Girlz, it reminded me of Fannypack. But I love how you mix genres. Free form radio at its' finest!

Mon. 3/23/09 10:44am Ooops:

The song is unknown, not the band.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:46am Hatch:

It's only unknown because I don't know Japanese.

Mon. 3/23/09 10:49am lt:

It's "Utsukushii", that Yura Yura track. It means beautiful

She's right, of course. I'm so ashamed.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:18am Carmichael:

Well, if it isn't Hatch! Good morning to everyone. Let me put my feet up and listen a bit.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:20am Jeff the Mystic:

I also agree. I expected quick and instant change in less than three months. Worst. President. Ever.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:21am Cecile:

Phooey, windows media player is being an asshole to me today. Later, taters.

Good to see everyone!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:22am Titty the Twister:

Yeah! I mean I keep reading in the back pages about all of the different terrible bush laws that Obama is getting rid of, but on the front of the papers it tells me about him making a "bad joke" on Leno! Obviously he's a terrible PERSON and president!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:22am Jay Reatard:

- Personally Offended by President Obama

Mon. 3/23/09 11:23am Budgie:

- Personally Offended by you calling this Food

Mon. 3/23/09 11:25am David Duke:

She sounded kinda hot, if you ask me.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:26am Parq:

What I love most is that, when Repub elected officials make racist or other group-insenstive remarks, anyone who complains is just being "politically correct". I'm sure glad the right wingers have seen the light and we won't have to listen to GOP legislators saying "gimp" or "cripple" any more. Will we?

Mon. 3/23/09 11:29am Georgie Bushki Joonyars:

Ho ho ho. I cannot believe that silly American president obama would approve bailouts and an economic stimulus! That great president before him would never be caught dead handing out a bailout or an economic stimulus package just last year. You cripples!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:30am AIG:

Can we NOT bring up a bailout just once guys. Come on... crying over spilled milk here!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:31am Cecile:

Popping back in, Parq, you got it.
The charges of "sexism" when people criticized Sarah Palin on her record as Guv. BAHAHAHAHAH

Mon. 3/23/09 11:32am Sarah Palin:

They were gunning for me! They kept asking me questions that THEY KNEW I didn't no the answers too! Like foriegn policy or if Africa was a country... or just a state of mind. FREE HUEY!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:33am Budgie:

Didn't "no"? I'd like to "no" where my present is, jerk.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:34am Timothy Geithner:

Dow Jones up 281 points. So suck it!!!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:35am Matt:

Is Curt related to Micky?

Mon. 3/23/09 11:36am Vince Lombardi:

Winning cures everything, Timmy.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:36am nasok:

so is that baby bristol's first or second? the concept that palin faked her own most recent pregnancy to cover for a frisky teenage daughter was perhaps my fave conspiracy theory from the election.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:36am Dow Jones:

I'll go down for $5 and a bottle of Johnny Walker.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:36am Hatch:

Matt, he is not related. He does have a pretty interesting website, though:
http://www.summer-model.com/

Mon. 3/23/09 11:36am Carmichael:

Is Buffy related to Rose?

Mon. 3/23/09 11:38am FDR:

I was a cripple and the President. Man I had the best parking spot in the world. Those were the days...

Mon. 3/23/09 11:40am Timothy:

Timmy!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:42am Parq:

Ol' Merry Clayton. She was in that London Symphony Orchestra remake of "Tommy", ca. 1973.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:43am Tomothy:

Tommy!

Mon. 3/23/09 11:44am Carmichael:

Parq, so that's where I remember the name from.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:45am andrew:

hello mr. dj. fine job.. where can i find that fly girls song? digital or in-real-life format... must have it.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:48am Pearlÿ Sweets:

Andrew, http://fatbackdc.com/?p=338

Mon. 3/23/09 11:52am Parq:

Great to have you back, Hatch. Your unique perspective is always welcome.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:54am frenchee:

great to hear the hatch mix today! Boy. that Vodka C. sounded Spirit-y to me.

Mon. 3/23/09 11:58am Carmichael:

Vodka Collins is the same ol' "American goes to Japan, makes it big in glam band, gets ripped off by management, leaves to form another band, gets ripped off, re-unites with original band, gets ripped off, band member in Yakusa, they break up" story.

Yawn ....

Mon. 3/23/09 12:06pm Texas:

good show.

Mon. 3/23/09 3:03pm Don:

After the Clispe (swing ya rag) was over while Hatch was talking. What was the background instrumental sound playing?
Please if anyone knows, send it to me. Thanks
