Snoop Dogg Millionaire (Feat. Tanvi Shah)
|
Malice In Wonderland | Never one to pass up an opportunity to expand his fan-base, the ever resourceful Snoop Dogg's latest power move is to jump on the 8 Academy Award winning Slumdog Millionaire bandwagon by teaming up Tanvi Shah (Oscar winner for Best Original Song, "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire) to record the song "Snoop Dogg Millionaire" with assistance from several others. The song, which was leaked by the artist on the Internet this week, is from his forthcoming album Malice In Wonderland, slated for a Fall release. Featuring the Hustle Boyz on the chorus, it was produced by LA's Wild Animals (John Legend, Kurupt, Murs) and the UK based Chase & Status who recently received the Best Album Award at the 2009 Drum and Bass awards in Birmingham, England. | 2009 | * | 1:28:47 (Real | )

Hey, where is everybody?

Fri. 3/20/09 12:26pm
Billy Jam:
What up Bad Ronald. What up Jersey. Thanks to everyone who supported WFMU during the Marathon. Really appreciate your financial support of this 100% listener supported station....>>Meanwhile this show is dedicated to the NJ resident George Chase who passed this week and whose funeral service is tomorrow. You probably don't know him but he was the father of a dedicated longtime WFMU listener LS Monkey who wrote me a couple of days ago to say of her father, " I wanted to ask a favor if you could dedicate a song to him? His name is George Chase and he was also an artist, teacher, sailor, great cook and great dad. He taught film and annimation at Columbia High School in Maplewood NJ. My little sister Abby sent up a website for him http://www.waiteforme.com/ He loved to share stories and this is a place to share stories about him." At some stage in our lives we all lose someone we love, oft times a parent, and no matter how prepared we think we will be for this inevitable moment it is always heart-wrenchingly difficult. But ultimately the whole sad experience (which heals with time) only makes us stronger individuals, and more appreciative of life and those we love who are still with us. Rest in Peace George Chase.

Sail on, George. By an unfortunate coincidence, a dear friend of mine also just lost her dad, after a long, hard road. My friend doesn't dig this kind of music, but I hope vibes from this show are going out to her all the same.
