Parq:

  9:12am
annie:

i truly believe that each person could use a healthy dose of 80s music, it is sooo damn perky and UP!
  9:13am
postmanpaul:

  9:13am

  9:17am
postmanpaul:

  9:17am
annie:

  9:18am
Bad Ronald:

that made me giggle...
  9:22am
Ike:

As in Guru Guru, or as in Loop Guru?
  9:25am
annie:

only his hairdresser knows for sure, ike.
  9:26am
postmanpaul:

bad ronald and annie - yes, the makeover was my gurus idea he felt that 'the' [used to point forward to a following qualifying or defining title or phrase] was superfluous.
  9:30am
Josh:

MC Lyte! That was sick Jason. Hey Raf!
  9:31am
risky!:

Morning yall!
  9:31am
Ike:

Woah, MC Lyte into Zenlo (?) was a mind-blowing segue. That stretched my brain out like taffy.
  9:31am
Parq:

Good for you on the simplifying, PMP. I bought a book on feng shui, but I left it on a pile of old Mad Magazines, and now I can't find it.
  9:34am
Andy in Iowa City:

Thanks for the morning beats! Off to work. Happy day to all!
  9:43am

  9:48am
Confusedcious:

He who walk through airport turnstile sideways going to Bangkok!
  9:51am
Neil:

Just bought a couple of Native Hipsters discs from the band off of their web site. Really good, and incredibly reasonably priced. I recommend checking it out and not being scared by the exchange rate.
  9:57am
Rilo:

  9:58am
patrick:

good morning! thanks for the info on the Choking on Cufflings remote, sounds like its gonna be a good one.

great show so far jason!
  10:03am
Rilo:

after hearing a 3 minutes of the bird names run of the mill "indie" music, I have suddenly lost interest in this show. over and out.
  10:03am
Will J.:

I already like this band almost as much as the Bird Nest Roys! (personal favorite kiwi group). Will J.
  10:05am
Jason:

Annie, you shoudl totally come down for the marathon (and anyone else who plans to be in the area March 2-March15). I'd contact Scott, info's on our homepage

dc pat:

Extremely Brian Wilsony. Sounds good this morn.
  10:21am
andrew:

oh nothing.. im from the town and i love it. other ppl seem to think its second rate at times
  10:29am
Parq:

Missed a big chunk of BN in commute, but here for the last reel.
  10:41am
Ike:

Spirit animal?! Ha! Are they taking their irony and playing-at-crazy too far and accidentally tipping over into actual-crazy world? (Not that I can talk.) The interview is way more interesting than the music IMO.
  10:49am
Lovich:

Meat Puppets on WFMU.
Finalyyyy!
  10:52am
Swami:

Saw em at Bard in 86(?). The room lifted off the floor into space. Puppets!
  10:55am
Lovich:

I never saw Hüsker Dü live :(((((
  10:57am
Jason:

saw bob mould playin solo/sugar/husker du hits last year, w/ wurster on drums, it was really good! a highlight of our atp broadcast
  11:05am
Parq:

Swami, what building was the Bard show in? I'm curious because my kid is there now.
  11:07am
Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
  11:13am
postmanpaul:

yeah, sex it up jason.
  11:29am
GP:

Morning all..working by not sitting at my desk much today.
  11:32am
annie:

we know you are here in spirit GP
  11:33am
Swami:

Frankly, I can't recall Parq. Someone told us it was an early afternoon show, so we left early and tailgated. Found out after alot of beer that the show wouldn't start until much later. So we drank alot more beer. I'll get back to you actually. One of my more sober friends might recall
  11:37am
lovich:

Lovich, I saw them twice, to me like watching paint dry.

Then someone played a vid of them at the 7th Street Entry just before Metal Circus to me about 4 years ago - they were hilarious, Greg Norton actually talked 'n' stuff.

In short, when HD mixed down the bass, I lost interest.
  11:38am
Cecile:

Not lovich, Cecile! Sorry.

now the minutemen and Meat Puppets live back in the day? Impeccable.
  11:39am
Parq:

No worries, Swami. The campus has probably changed so much in 20 years that the building in question may no longer exist. Was just curious.
  11:42am
Lovich:

Thanks Cecile. Loud and proud.
  11:44am
Parq:

Annie, I saw HD years back, very uneven. One minute they'd be tearing into the material like a wild dog tears into meat, and the next minute they'd head into 29 minutes of self-indulgent feedback. And I qualify "feedback" only in deference to those who think there is such a thing as 29 minutes of non-self-indulgent feeback.
  11:48am
annie:

as long as i can eke out any modicum of melody, i am fine...
  11:54am
Doug from DC:

If you don't want to hear 29 minutes of feedback, then you assume the band is indulging themselves. They may be indulging someone else who wanted to hear it.
  11:56am
Pete:

I saw Husker Du in Hartford after Warehouse came out. They blew. The only intereaction with the crowd was to whine about the pit and they played the record straight through in album order. One of the worst shows I've ever seen.
  11:56am
annie:

hhmm. feedback.. hhmm phish.. hmm grateful dead.. hmmm
  11:57am
postmanpaul:

xtc's love on a farm boys wages came into me and out of me just then.
  11:58am
Doug from DC:

I didn't mean to suggest that some feedback solos aren't self-indulgent...hmmm.
  11:16am
ZENLO from London UK:

Hey Jason,
You missed from your comments me (Zenlo) and
Mc Lyte !? on your Talk's Cheap 3/17/'09
