Win. I guess it's not for everybody, though. My girlfriend told me to turn it off. Instead, I put on my headphones.
  Sun. 2/8/09 12:33am D. Blumin:

Thx, Luke!

  Sun. 2/8/09 12:57am sherri:

  Sun. 2/8/09 1:22am stingy d:

ps - i want to listen to your show because i don't know any of the artists in your playlist... but i'm struggling to pry myself.... arghh the joy and pain of new music!!
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:26am hey blumin:

i googled you and it thought i meant blumkin. i think blumkins are some sort of sexual fetish that i will elect not to describe for fear of being incorrect.

i should go now.
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:32am Andy:

I took the headphones off and put it back on the speakers, since she is done watching her silly TV show. She just asked, "what the hell are you listening to? Do you really like everything that comes on here?" I tried to explain how the new and challenging music keeps my mind sharp and engaged while I memorize amino acid functional groups. I don't think she gets it.
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:35am D. Blumin:

Hiya Stingy! Awesome about the box! That's some competition for your ears! Thanks for stickin around! I'll try my best!
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:43am D. Blumin:

Andy! Amino Acids! That's exactly what this show is about! Tell her that!
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:44am May 4, 1970:

Hi Dan: Oh so good tonite; wonderful music. I am so envious of your job; it would surely be a dream to me being a free-form music radio guru. Thanks, WFMU is always playing on my PC.
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:50am Ike:

I just got in. Perfect timing for me. Caught that great Brethren track and missed Antony. Hooray!

Andy, some will never understand the awesomeness of a constant flow of new and unusual sound discoveries. Just like I'll never understand the appeal of Antony! I hope y'all have something else in common.
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:52am Andy:

Haha! She's great and I love her. She's just kind of doing other things in the background and not paying attention to the music. Every once in a while she listens and just thinks it's strange. I tried to explain how there is this very talented and unexpected flow from one song to the next and it all makes sense, somehow...
Thanks for getting me through a long day of studying. Greetings from Salt Lake City, btw.
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:54am sherri:

pink frost by the chills? colossal tearjerker, perfect for the 14th.
  Sun. 2/8/09 1:55am D. Blumin:

Hey Blumin,
I'm talkin to myself again! Of course Blumkins are a sexual fetish - you really don't want to know about Blumins - truss me... It's beyond Thunderdome! G'night!
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:02am D. Blumin:

Thanks for the great suggestion, Sherri! That's a gem!
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:05am D. Blumin:

Ike, you funny guy! Brother Antony will not be pleased!
Andy, greetings to Salt Lake! It all makes sense cos you've been studying amino acids all day!
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:11am Keili:

Daniel! Please let everyone know that I have a live set/interview with MimiSun on my show tonight!
Great show! RIP Lux!
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:11am Andy:

Yes, it would seem that the energy waves combine in ways that send pleasing chemical signals to the receptor proteins in my my auditory pathways. You are right. These interactions between my sentience and the energy waves is dependent on the arrangement of amino acids. Or something like that.
On another note, does anybody else end up with at least a sticky pad page full of scribbled songs and artists to search for after these shows? Hildegard Knef is definitely on the list.
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:15am May 4, 1970:

I too have scribbled names of artists and songs lying about; from which album did the Hildegard Knef cut come from--really outstanding.
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:24am admjxn:

saw the cramps 3 times...first 2 Lux was really wild and crazy (Nov 97 and March 98) , but the 3rd in April of '06 he wasn't so much. Makes me wonder if the doc told him to take it easy.
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:25am admjxn:

I meant april 03
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:26am admjxn:

btw...Blumin and Cufflinks.....best Sat. late night double feature
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:42am D. Blumin:

Thx, May 4 1970! Was that a happy day?
Guys, I'll update the playlist w/ more info after ze show...
Thnkee kindlee, admjxn!
  Sun. 2/8/09 2:47am May 4, 1970:

It was a very bad day--changed my life forever, and mostly for the worse. The Kent State Murders kinda turned me into an anti-government protest cat, an alchoholic, a curmudgeon, etc. Not good.
