I will never forget sneaking out of the suburbs to see the Cramps at the The Ritz -- staying out all night and taking the first bus back so I could get to high school the next day. They are for the ages, one of the best bands of all times.

I never got around to seeing the Cramps live, more fool I, but I always dug their records and whatever live recordings I got to hear. The Cramps scene from "Urrgh A Music War" has always been a standout in my mind.

My uncle mixed me a tape with Live stuff at the peppermint lounge on one side and some other rockabilly stuff on the other, like Dale Hawkins ( She Said, Nomore Hot Dogs, etc.). Some time later, I think it was the same year, I saw Bad Music for Bad People at my local record store. I wanted it sooo baad, but I was about 12 or 13 and broke. I read the track list and saw that they did a cover of She said! I knew I had to have this. I stole it! Definitely one of the best things I have ever done for myself! I love you Lux, "Let me have my studio to myself!!!!"
