Playlist for This Is the Modern World with Trouble - November 20, 2008

Thursdays 9am - Noon on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:06am From: 55fps

yes, I heard the international space station has a pretty good morning show as well.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:07am From: GP

Good morning Trouble, lets hope the only trouble on the comments page is you! Ken had to block all of the bad kiddies yesterday.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:08am From: annie

yeah GP, did you see he kindof apologized in one of the pics?

Thu. 11/20/08 9:08am From: scott

there's morning in space???

Thu. 11/20/08 9:12am From: GP

Annie, I caught that..as it always happens, leave it to a few (insert expletive here) to ruin it for everyone else. I'm going to not mention it again because what the trolls want most is a public acknowledgment of the misery they cause.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:14am From: Bad Ronald

Morning one and all!

Thu. 11/20/08 9:15am From: annie

GP-yeah i dig. morning BR

Thu. 11/20/08 9:15am From: dale

trouble, have you seen the film "I'm Your Man"? I usually don't care for concert footage sort of stuff, but Nick Cave and Antony were great

Thu. 11/20/08 9:17am From: trouble

no dale, i haven't seen it yet, but i was looking forward to it..

Thu. 11/20/08 9:18am From: thomas

Thu. 11/20/08 9:44am From: trish

Thu. 11/20/08 9:45am From: seb

Thu. 11/20/08 9:45am From: annie

something unnerving about cold bare ground...

Thu. 11/20/08 9:46am From: Bad Ronald

ITA Trish and Annie!

Thu. 11/20/08 9:46am From: sugarwolf

As long as snow comes in the middle of the night, and I don't have to go anywhere, I like it.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:48am From: seb

there is a mix up T, though... shogun is the band... luz is the name of the track.. sory...

Thu. 11/20/08 9:48am From: GP

Bad Ronald and Paul, I had never heard that Zappa song before, but wow, some crazy lyrics...
Catholic Girls -I got one for a cousin.....yea I do : )

Thu. 11/20/08 9:49am From: dale

thanks postman! that project reminds me of bowie and Tin Machine.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:51am From: trouble

oops, ok thanks seb, i changed it...

Thu. 11/20/08 9:51am From: Cecile

agh, claudine longet gives me the hee-jeebies. Especially this song...

Thu. 11/20/08 9:52am From: sugarwolf

The only record I ever got from a boy was a Claudine one. hmmm.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:54am From: trouble

well sugarwolf, that's better than the first record i got: kansas!

Thu. 11/20/08 9:55am From: Bad Ronald

Thu. 11/20/08 9:58am From: GP

Thanks B.R...That album has been on my list for years to get..just never have purchased it...I always forget how crazy in an amazing way that Zappa was.

Thu. 11/20/08 9:59am From: Cecile

I got the soundtrack to Dr. Doolittle as sung byt the Happy Time Singers.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:01am From: annie

i have the record from when i was a kid,, boris karloff, celeste holm, and cyril richard singing nursery rhymes.. and in pretty decent shape considering the amount of play it got.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:01am From: scott

how about Jewish Favorites by Connie Francis...one of my faves

Thu. 11/20/08 10:02am From: sugarwolf

Thu. 11/20/08 10:06am From: Ken

Hello all! Sorry about pulling the nuclear option yesterday morning! Enjoyed that Claudine Longet Trouble! Long live Spider Sabich.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:07am From: seb

first record i got: abbey road. blind luck. it was a cassette, though. with the track names in spanish: ven, juntémonos; algo; el martillo de plata de maxwell; oh! querida; el jardín del pulpo; te deseo (es tan pesada); aquí viene el sol. and so on...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:07am From: Cecile

Viva Spider!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:08am From: annie

my first record was herman's hermits

Thu. 11/20/08 10:09am From: stingy d

i hate missing this... great show.. as is always the case... gotta make some dumb ass phone calls

Thu. 11/20/08 10:09am From: dale

thank God Andy Williams is still with us. my first record was "Paranoid", $3.99 at Twin Fair.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:09am From: Bad Ronald

No worries Ken, it was fun while it lasted!

First record(s) - Abbey Road, Night at the Opera

Thu. 11/20/08 10:10am From: sugarwolf

my first record was Madonna's True Blue, on cassette. From Caldor (RIP)

Thu. 11/20/08 10:10am From: GP

Morning Ken.
1st record was...no joke...Ted Nugent's Cat Scratch Fever!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:11am From: Joe

Nirvana - Nevermind. I was 5 and it was new.

Also, this beat makes me feel like I'm trapped in a Stephen Soderburgh remake of my life. With George Clooney as me.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:12am From: 55fps

earliest lp I remember was a Spike Jones record of Halloween stories, with Karloff/Lorre impersonations. Meant to be funny but I think it kind of scared me. Still at my father's house.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:14am From: dale

gorgeous arrangement on this laforet!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:15am From: Dickdong

Ken - it's not your fault.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:16am From: seb

you were five whe nevermind came out? god, i felt geriatric all of a sudden

Thu. 11/20/08 10:16am From: Cecile

5 in 1991.

I FEEL REALLY FRICKING OLD.

Nevermind is still a pretty decent album, though.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:16am From: paulthepostman

Dale - During his Tin Machine period, Bowie became inspired by the short novel 'Knulp' by H. Hesse, the details of which I cannot remember due to discography-database fatigue).
Can anyone shed a glimmer of light?

Thu. 11/20/08 10:17am From: seb

you killed us, young joe.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:18am From: David

If anyone or anything got old way too fast, it was Nevermind.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:18am From: Cecile

*wheezes wetly*
Seb, go toward ths light...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:20am From: annie

i enjoyed, to the most part, the second generation of music, experienced as my son was growing up.. what fun to re-experience the thrill of new music vicariously through my kid.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:21am From: annie

and i loved, loved, loved the first years of MTV

Thu. 11/20/08 10:21am From: GP

too funny Cecile..at the young set is interested in GREAT music instead of Clear Channel dronegramming.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:21am From: Bad Ronald

Yeah David, Nevermind is a good album but does it have the staying power of something like Exile on Main Street?

Thu. 11/20/08 10:21am From: dc pat

man, I love drinkin + lovin'

Thu. 11/20/08 10:22am From: dc pat

Hey, what'd you guys do yesterday to get Ken to pull the comments plug?

Thu. 11/20/08 10:23am From: Cecile

I think "Come as You Are" and "In Bloom" still hold up solidly. they aren't as hooky as "teen spirit" but they have a kind of slow, tortured grit I like.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:23am From: dc pat

Never liked Nevermind. I still like Bleach though.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:23am From: Parq

Hi all. My first LP was Bill Cosby's "Very Funny Fellow -- Right!" -- first 45 was "Winchester Cathedral". Comedy and novelty. Tells ya a lot more than I'd like to admit.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:24am From: Cecile

I lived for catching Cos on the TV. I still like the Noah bit...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:25am From: annie

oh, parq, we had all those too. they were a hoot. and winchester cathedral got played repeatedly.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:25am From: Ken

First record purchased for me: Sha Na Na's Golden Boots. First record I received as a gift: Rolling Stones Let it Bleed. First record I bought myself: Precious and Few by Climax.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:25am From: Joe

The problem with Nevermind was that it was too slick. If they hadn't let Andy Wallace mix it to within an inch of it's life, you wouldn't have had 5 year olds hear it on the radio and beg their parents to buy it for them. And then we all might still be able to listen to it with a fresh ear.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:26am From: Bad Ronald

Hey - "Parqly, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme" - Oh that was yesterday...

10-4 on Bleach DCP

1st 45 - Grand Funk - "Locomotion"

Thu. 11/20/08 10:26am From: Cecile

I don't think it sounds that slick.
My hearing is kind of trashed, though.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:27am From: Ken

I pulled the plug yesterday because one guy was posting nonsense every 30 seconds and another guy was giving me shite over Larry; nobody fucks with Larry.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:28am From: annie

i live for larry..

Thu. 11/20/08 10:28am From: Bad Ronald

On it's way Mr. Nelson Makala.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:28am From: dc pat

good call Ken. my first purchase was I am the Greatest by Ringo.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:28am From: Cecile

I LOVE THE HOLLIES
that is all.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:29am From: Bad Ronald

You survived SSD. Hope you're feeling better today Ken.

Love that tune DCP!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:30am From: dc pat

I actually bought the whole album by Ringo.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:30am From: yay!

big star forever

Thu. 11/20/08 10:31am From: Bad Ronald

The Ringo album can almost be considered the last Beatles album.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:32am From: Parq

Interesting that the conversation should focus so much on Nevermind. That, as it turns out, was my *last* vinyl. Ken, I owned *two* Sha Na Na albums and saw them at least 4 times. Are we seeing a pattern emerge here?

Thu. 11/20/08 10:32am From: dc pat

That's for sure, Bad Ron.

by the way, don't screw with Ringo or you'll have to deal with me.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:33am From: annie

although i have recently heard it disparaged, i still loved "ram"

Thu. 11/20/08 10:34am From: Bad Ronald

No, no, no, Ram is brilliant!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:34am From: TG

Mornin Ken. First record was a Neil Diamond 8 track, 1980. First show, Diamond. Love on the Rocks. Hey, I was 7.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:34am From: Cecile

was that the one with "mary had a little lamb" on it?

I kind of loved that when I was a kid.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:35am From: GP

You have me singing/whistling Winchester Cathedral in my head. That is not necessarily a bad thing.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:35am From: 55fps

Talk about Ringo & Zappa, tcm showed '200 Motels' last month. Ringo as Zappa, that movie is like an r-rated Monkees episode.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:35am From: annie

BR i totally agree, but the new "critics" are calling ram amateur.. and commercial. i thought it was brilliant.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:36am From: Bad Ronald

No MHALL was released as a single around the same time.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:36am From: randy in NC

Hey Parq, thr first album bought for me was the New Vaudeville Band, first one I bought was Disraeli Gears.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:36am From: fishmonkeystew

5 in 1991? Now I feel old. I was 18.....

My first record was the soundtrack to the Muppet Movie. It was new, as the movie had just come out.....

Boy does that make me feel old...hehe.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:37am From: Cecile

GP, it's great as a kid - you can make the whistling thru a comb and wax paper, and sing through a paper comb. That's what we did.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:37am From: Cecile

fishmonkeystew: you are also a bebe.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:37am From: paulthepostman

...mine were Led Zepplin and Freda Payne. Band of Gold still does the shivverallover stuff to me, as does J'taime...god, that was the year men+rockets went to the moon......mmm seminal.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:38am From: annie

oh my god, we saw 200 motels in the theatre, brought a pint of whiskey with us and we were stoned out of our gourds. what a great film

Thu. 11/20/08 10:39am From: dc pat

you know what's funny? My little brother and I spent our early childhood listening to 8 track tapes of Village Green Preservation Society and the Great Lost Kinks Album. My oldest brother ended up with those some how.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:39am From: Bad Ronald

Keith Moon dressed as a nun - great stuff!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:41am From: li'l bobby

Morning truble, first record I bought for myself was the unicorn song by the irish rovers...firrst given to me was a used everly bros greatest hits...first lp i bought was rainbow bridge by hendrix...rainbows and unicorns and the those dreamy everly harmonies...maybe my unreasonable expectations about life aren't so unreasonable after all, are they?

Thu. 11/20/08 10:42am From: Joe

I feel that my musical sensibilities might have been permanently warped by my mother. Its her fault I knew ever Moody Blues record backwards and forwards, at least since I was in utero. Even the really bad ones from the 80's.

Did you guys know you're gonna wake up, you're gonna wake up in a Gemini Dreaaaaaaaam?

Because I sure do.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:44am From: lilsis

Good Morning Miss Trouble

Thu. 11/20/08 10:44am From: annie

when i was pregnant, i put headphones on my belly... whatever was playing...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:44am From: trouble

li'l bobby ,i surely do think that rainbows and unicorns are a good thing...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:44am From: sugarwolf

I just bought the Muppet Movie soundtrack at the record fair

Thu. 11/20/08 10:44am From: Ike

That Tame Impala track was great. As for Trouble's eternal female complaint: I always put the seat down, but seriously, don't women look before they sit? You shouldn't sit somewhere before checking to see if the seat is actually there. That's just basic common sense.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:45am From: stingy d

i love phone calls!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:45am From: ?

this fripp and eno sounds at half speed . . . kind of like it does at normal speed . . .

Thu. 11/20/08 10:47am From: dale

Nice video for "Exposure"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P7iUgBiu7E

Joe, Moody Blues up to Seventh Sojourn was my thing. I'd put on In Search of the Lost Chord and my friends would buy Skynyrd. Feel lucky your mother didn't go down that road...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:48am From: trouble

hey little sis!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:49am From: li'l bobby

you are so right truble...and my niece told me years ago that i can celebrate my b-day all week if i wanted to...and i do

Thu. 11/20/08 10:49am From: trouble

ike, it's not about sitting down without looking. It's about being greeted with a not so lovely view, having to touch a dirty seat, and having to clean up after someone's selfishness...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:50am From: Joe

Totally agree with you, Dale. I'll consider myself lucky.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:50am From: dale

does that make mr. ipcepack a scorpio?

Thu. 11/20/08 10:51am From: trouble

no dale icepack was supposed to be a scorpio but he was 2 weeks late and became an ever pleasing sagitarrius!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:53am From: Cecile

I actually like Skynyrd a lot.
I saw a BBC show from '74 from VH-1,when they were just starting out, and without "free bird" and the whole good and bad burden of their legend, they were a pretty fierce band.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:53am From: dale

good for you. my wife hates living with a scorpio. especially one who still plays the moody blues.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:54am From: sugarwolf

Sag is the best sign (ahem) but the most difficult to spell...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:54am From: 55fps

a toilet seat down does look quite lovely, just like mornings in outer space

around 1990 or so, there was a show out of chicago cable which had some video dj playing all the new indy rock kids. even smashing pumpkins.. it was really cool

Thu. 11/20/08 10:55am From: Bad Ronald

Hey Dale - Can you tell me what MB album has "Story in Your Eyes" on it?

Thu. 11/20/08 10:56am From: dc pat

why shouldn't women touch dirty toilet seats? Men have to... never understood that one.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:57am From: dale

Seventh Sojourn. It was a John Lodge song.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:58am From: Cecile

this is all alien to me.
My hub yells at me for never closing the top lid.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:58am From: GP

Cecile:
Killdozer was on WFMU a few weeks back and they played their version of Sweet Home Alabama...wild stuff.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:58am From: annie

dc pat, what an image just shot into my head!!!!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:58am From: Joe

My theory is that third-wave feminism is a direct response to your toilet seat conundrum, DCP.

just kidding ladies, you know I love you...

Thu. 11/20/08 10:58am From: Cecile

I adored that set to DEATH.
I love that band so frickin' much.
And yeah, a great version!

Thu. 11/20/08 10:59am From: GP

I forgot to had that you can get their ( Killdozer )song on the WFMU blog.

Thu. 11/20/08 10:59am From: Cecile

third-wave? I'm still trying to get my head around the sufferage movement.

KIDDING! I'm a No-Wave feminist. Noisy, scattered and not a lot of people get me.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:00am From: dale

Every Good Boy Deserves Favour! Can't believe I was wrong on that.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:01am From: fishmonkeystew

Hey Trouble, do you have the Muppet Movie soundtrack? Now that would be a trip.

I'm disappointed that I missed the fireworks yesterday. In class all day.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:01am From: Joe

Woooooooooow Cecile. I wish a was a girl, just so I could steal that from you.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:02am From: Cecile

Dale, I was going to say that, but I was sure I was wrong...

Thu. 11/20/08 11:02am From: Cecile

you are welcome to use it as a descriptor.
Unless it starts making money....;)

Thu. 11/20/08 11:03am From: Bad Ronald

Thanks Dale!

Thu. 11/20/08 11:06am From: stingy d

donovan can be so so good soemtimes. and so so horrendous the rest of the time. i like this one.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:06am From: Vivian

Silly question-I do not live in NYC. Why is it that Queens is considered sub par to the other boros? Aren't there clubs for bands to play in Queens?

Thu. 11/20/08 11:07am From: Cecile

I was going to say exactly the same thing as you stingy, but with a different conclusion.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:07am From: jenniqua

I love the way Donovan says "alizarian crimson." Great color too.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:09am From: stingy d

if i was doing gigs in queens i would know that i have hit bottom. queens rappers are the best on this planet though.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:10am From: Joe

Queens takes forever to get to, unless you're coming from Long Island. And everyone on Long Island just wants to go to Manhattan, anyway.

Some Manhattanites even think Brooklyn is too out-of-the-way.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:11am From: Ike

Vivian, I don't know about clubs, but Queens is fascinating to me. It has some of the best ethnic restaurants in the nation, and supposedly more languages spoken per square mile than anywhere else in the world.

Also, I'll go with "horrendous" for the overplayed drivel of "WYLLH." Your mileage may vary.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:11am From: Joe

Stingy also speaks the truth.

Though I wouldn't be surprised to see Queens become the next Brooklyn, if the hipster train exodus continues...

Thu. 11/20/08 11:12am From: Vivian

Thanks everyone for answering my question!

Thu. 11/20/08 11:13am From: Doug G.

I live in Queens, and i think it's great. Greenpoint ave comes up just behind our street, and trips to GPoint or Wmsburg are 7 - 12 minutes by car.
Trouble's show makes my Thursday alt. street parking day so much better !
No, no clubs here -(yet)

Thu. 11/20/08 11:15am From: Joe

Doug, according to my parents Little Neck was pretty poppin' in the late 70's, through the 80's... they were North-Shore yuppies, though...

Thu. 11/20/08 11:16am From: stingy d

i like queens though so don't get it twisted... i vaguely rep forrest hills.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:16am From: Joe

Nevermind, that was Great Neck. Not in Queens, nvm.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:19am From: Doug G.

There are always those places in LI, etc... plus lots of Colombian, Irish, Romanian, etc... music clubs here, plus the odd coffeehouse.
Much to be said for Forest Hills being birthplace to da Ramones - Joey, Dee Dee, Phil ?(Hey, Billy Joel was from Levittown, and he produced 'im )

Thu. 11/20/08 11:19am From: Brian C.

The last word on the Toilet Seat Conundrum:
Boys, Girls, everyone listen. You both have your arguments for doing it your way. They are both flawed. The ONLY reasonable solution: put the lid down. Not the seat, I'm talking the LID. OK? thank you.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:21am From: Doug

Trouble - you're one of the only dj's that gets the song title and artist up there immediately ! Thank you for that !

Thu. 11/20/08 11:22am From: Parq

Okay, but which way should we hang toilet paper, draping over the top (outside face front) or towards the back (outside face back)?

Thu. 11/20/08 11:23am From: dale

You put them BOTH down after use. And guys, if you whiz on the seat or rim, wipe it up. And that mentality of saving water and not flushing after number one doesn't, well, hold water in public spaces.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:23am From: annie

see, that doesn't matter as much as leaving a slight bit showing to let us know where to grab. hste it when i have to scrape around the roll looking for the end bit.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:24am From: dale

Parq, if you go overhand with the roll, you can fold the little point into the end like in a fancy hotel.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:24am From: stingy d

i don't like underhanded toilet paper. it ain't right.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:26am From: Dickdong

There IS a right way and a wrong way of doing this. In the UK, the socially superior always hang the roll with the paper hanging down on the wall side.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:27am From: Joe

Underhanded toilet paper also might force subsequent users to touch the same spot on the wall, over and over, with their filthy hands.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:27am From: trouble

thanks doug!

Thu. 11/20/08 11:27am From: stingy d

social superiority is underhanded.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:27am From: Bad Ronald

Toilet paper? Is that reading material?

Thu. 11/20/08 11:28am From: stingy d

i just told my boss that my bonus from last year was the type of thing that someone found in the back of their desk. it felt great. forgot to tell you guys.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:28am From: dale

my cats prefer overhand. easier to unroll it all over the floor and roll around in. they aren't high on the social scale, however.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:29am From: Marky

Depends on whether or not you have a dog or cat that plays w/ the toilet paper. Pets don't get underhanded.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:30am From: dc pat

Dickdong, I'll bet you scoop up soup moving the spoon away from your body too...

Thu. 11/20/08 11:31am From: GP

Stingy....watch it, especially in this economy....yeah, we got a letter as well that just about told us to expect reduced bonuses or none at all...oh well.

dcPat: As the ships sail away from me I spoon my soup towrads the sea

Thu. 11/20/08 11:31am From: Cecile

I think dogs and cats play with the toilet paper because their genes are programmed from their ancestors hunting it in the wild.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:32am From: trish

re: Trouble's speedy playlist :

And the speed over accuracy is ok by me. Leads me on the occasional lateral wonder, like, 'Sister of Mercury' ?

Thu. 11/20/08 11:32am From: stingy d

last year i got a $50 american express gift cheque. so.... i mean...

Thu. 11/20/08 11:33am From: jenniqua

You guys get bonuses? I get a printed greeting card with a stamped signature.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:34am From: Cecile

I got a stupid potluck and a meeting with PowerPoint slides. And "getting to know each other" games.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:34am From: dc pat

GP: I just stick my pinky out and everything's ok.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:34am From: GP

Stingy, at least you should have been able to pick out a few items from Vermont Country Store!

Thu. 11/20/08 11:34am From: Cecile

yeah, man, some of that olive salad, at least!

Thu. 11/20/08 11:34am From: dc pat

I'll see you guys later, I'm starving. Thanks Trouble.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:35am From: Dickdong

DC Pat I could not tell you which way I use my soup spoon. You've got me worried now - I truly can't remember. I have soup on Mondays and it's Thursday. You'll have to ask me on Tuesday.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:36am From: GP

DC Pat tha reminds me of the Spongebob ( don't ask) episode where Patrick is trying to give Sponge Bob etiquette lessons.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:36am From: stingy d

these mopes make a shit ton of money... and i have a lot to do with it. so they better bonus my personal economy for real.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:36am From: sugarwolf

Bonuses??? We haven't had raises ever, and last year didn't even get a Chrsitmas party.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:37am From: GP

Stingy you could always go and claim "Bank Status" and get some of the bailout goods..the Bank of Stingy D..sounds good already....THANK YOU taxpayers.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:37am From: dale

$50 will buy you a case of the Worlds Best Toilet Paper at Sharper Image.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:38am From: dc pat

GP: I was thinking of that 3 Stooges episode where some guy tries to turn them into gentlemen.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:38am From: Cecile

Thu. 11/20/08 11:41am From: Doug

Is this song about those zoo monkeys - " hurl stool " ??

Thu. 11/20/08 11:42am From: GP

The 3 Stooges clip is prob on YouTube, but alas, I am locked out from it at the office.

Thu. 11/20/08 11:42am From: dc pat

when Curly's slurping his soup and Moe gives him a dirty look so he sticks out his pinky and keeps slurping. Now I'm REALLY hungry...
