Echoplex and lil' muff were walking through flanger woods looking for their friend phaser. He had an analog notch filter with 32 stages although he was modest and the first to point out that his dry wet knob was oversensitive.

thanks! I think the ending involves daisy-chaining delay pedals in such a way that the international date line is crossed and the input connects back to the output. they think it'll help them travel back in time and maybe it would have but at the last moment echoplex realized that the now deceased phaser lived on in his circuitry and he didn't need to change the past, whereas lil' muff was inconsolable and the flanger woods played upon his heavy emotional weight and so he used too much delay. it's kind of an anti-climax
