Playlist for Irene Trudel - November 17, 2008

Mondays 3pm - 6pm on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Music floating on calmer seas is "netted" by my ears and released to the hungry listeners. It's a stringy catch, but frequently live and always delectable.

A chat with Jason Crigler

It's a miracle guitarist/singer/songwriter Jason Crigler is functional, much less alive today. Four years ago Crigler suffered a massive brain hemorrhage while on stage at a performance. Jason had been a much sought-after session guitarist, playing and touring with stellar musicians like Linda and Teddy Thompson and Marshall Crenshaw. His remarkable recovery is also the subject of a documentary, "Life. Support. Music" Jason Crigler dropped by to tell his story, and play selections from a new tribute CD.

B Ronald - regarding C of L, assuming George Martin was at the helm, why not?

Mon. 11/17/08 3:37pm From: Bad Ronald

From what I understand is was McCartney's attempt at a Stockhausenesque piece. Basically the Beatles running around Abbey Road banging on various instruments.

Mon. 11/17/08 3:47pm From: Sean Daily

Sean Daily's right here. His boss is cracking the whip at work, so he hasn't had time to comment.

Oh, and... Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
