Speaking of books, has anyone read the entire Neal Stephenson "Baroque Series"? I just finished "Quicksilver" and as a novel itself the ending was totally unresolved and a bit disapointing...but maybe the whole series gets better.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:05pm From: Cecile

Robert Creeley is awesome.
I even liked Steve Lacy's arrangements of some of his poems, although Irene Aebi's voice is an acquired taste.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:22pm From: Sam

take a toke baby

Thu. 11/6/08 1:28pm From: Alert System Boycott

For over half a century, we have been subjected to weekly tests of the "emergency alert system." For what purpose? We've given a lot to this intrusive "alert system," but what has it given us? When has it ever done anything useful? Never, htat's when. I suggest that all FMU DJs and all broadcast stations everywhere stage a boycott of this ugly-sounding nonsense.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:31pm From: Scott

Well, it did accidentally evacuate the state of Connecticut a few years ago.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:33pm From: Cecile

and it might have helped a couple of people get out of New Orleans

Thu. 11/6/08 1:34pm From: Scott

Thu. 11/6/08 1:36pm From: Carmichael

Bad Ronald, Suf Punks single has the instrumental version on the B side. I'll have to look for it tonite when I get home.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:38pm From: Bad Ronald

Thanks man you rock! Couldn't find the vid on youtube but did find a dvd that had it.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:40pm From: AnAnonymousParty

Out here in the midwest we depend on the Emergency Alert System to trigger our weather radio alarms so we know when to go outside and watch tornados rip our neighbor's homes apart.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:40pm From: Alert

Believe me, the EAS didn't help anyone get out of New Orleans. It's realy just another fascist tool -- miss a test and get fined ten thousand $ or lose your license. Well, I say let's tell the man to test THIS.

Thu. 11/6/08 1:43pm From: Carmichael

Walker Brothers!!!!!

Thu. 11/6/08 1:45pm From: signalstatoin
