Hello Dan, good night/morning!

Sun. 11/2/08 6:15am arthur t flegenheimer:

no idea what it is - but I likes it.

Sun. 11/2/08 6:16am Dan B:

It's Vetiver -- "Amour Fou" from their self-titled album on DiChristina

Sun. 11/2/08 6:40am arthur:

play something dark and doomy....

Sun. 11/2/08 7:10am rd:

What is the background music playing when you are on the mike? I really like it.

Sun. 11/2/08 7:14am Dan B:

Background music = The Necks, from the album "Sex"

Sun. 11/2/08 7:16am rd:

fyi, on the 5th item you wrote "Rumania" If you are referring to the country, it should be spelled "Romania". The name derives from Romanus (ie Roman, as in roman empire). More info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etymology_of_Romania

Sun. 11/2/08 7:20am arthur:

it was meant as more of a suggestion than an order - some nice tracks there...

Sun. 11/2/08 7:20am Dan B:

RD - the record uses Rumania, so I spell it that way in the interest of helping people who might want to locate the record. It's a common European variant on the spelling of the country and the record was released by a French company.

Sun. 11/2/08 7:21am Dan B:

Arthur, I was kidding -- glad you're enjoying!

Sun. 11/2/08 7:22am rd:

Strange. I'm Romanian so I had to comment and I prefer it with an "o" :)

Sun. 11/2/08 7:25am Dan B:

@ RD - me too! I never understood where that "u" is supposed to come from...I think rum comes from the West Indies...

Sun. 11/2/08 7:35am hector:

Veeery cool selection today: DeLaurenti, Baker& Hecker...nice discoverings!
I too also like a lot Mclaughin with Shatki: I don“t like always John-too excesive for me sometimes- but on Shatki it fits perfectly...

Sun. 11/2/08 7:56am rd:

Great music selection. The last two songs remind me a of "Sons of Yma" http://www.turnmeondeadman.net/ADM/GPComps/SonsOfYma.html. Good album.

Sun. 11/2/08 7:57am Dan B:

Thanks Hector & RD -- this last set has been so much fun!

Sun. 11/2/08 8:04am paulthepostman:
