Nope. Guess again.

Thu. 10/30/08 12:09pm Carmichael:

Thu. 10/30/08 12:20pm R. P.:

Thu. 10/30/08 12:20pm m:

damnit scott there's pumpkin cake in the break room and you're keeping me from it-- play something boring!

Thu. 10/30/08 12:25pm Carmichael:

Scott, I believe the correct 10" name is "Mark's Keyboard Repair"? Unless this is a different version.

Thu. 10/30/08 12:27pm Scott:

Check it out Carmichael: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Performing_Chicken_EP

Thu. 10/30/08 12:31pm Carmichael:

I stand corrected. I was chronologically futuristic at the time.

Thu. 10/30/08 12:33pm Carmichael:

Oh, and "m", there is some pumpkin cheesecake on the credenza right outside my office door.

I feel your pain.

Thu. 10/30/08 12:35pm scott:

Thu. 10/30/08 12:36pm White Russian:

Release the Bats!

Thu. 10/30/08 12:37pm dc pat:

man, this song (10cc version) always transports me, Proust-like, right back to being 8 years old and sitting in the way back of my parents station wagon, heading from PA to FLA...they must have played it about a billion times on the radio on the way down...

Thu. 10/30/08 12:38pm Greg from Detroit:

10cc meets Popol Vuh - nice!

Thu. 10/30/08 12:38pm ken in denver:

Jeri Rossi did a cool cover of It's a Man's World back in the early '80s when she lived in Denver. Her band opened for the Birthday Party her in '83.

Thu. 10/30/08 12:40pm scott:

I think my fave thing Jeri Rossi did (and I love a lot!) was a filmed version of "A Good Man is Hard to Find" w/ Joe Coleman (!!) as the Misfit (!!!)

Thu. 10/30/08 12:42pm cosmic:

im not in love had me scratching the door

Thu. 10/30/08 12:42pm Carmichael:

Good God, an Alan Parsons cover! Way to go!!

Thu. 10/30/08 12:49pm efd:

I have an issue of Nice at home - I forget which one, but I can bring it in next week if you want to include it in your blog post (assuming it's different from what you already have).

Coincidentally, I was in a band years ago with Theo who worked on that zine with Bart -- but I found the issue I have independently of that association.

Thu. 10/30/08 12:58pm BZ:

YOW!! Cover of Gun! Load me up!

Thu. 10/30/08 12:59pm scott:

thanks EFD! If it's audio, then it's probably the same one. I think. Hey, i've got some Aphrodite's Child coming up with your name on it!

Thu. 10/30/08 1:02pm efd:

I'll check tonight and let you know.

Looking forward to the Aphrodite's Child! Please issue a plea to all WFMU staffers for someone to sing that for Hoof & Mouth next year! (Unless, of course, you're interested in taking it on.)

Thu. 10/30/08 1:04pm randy in NC:

Thu. 10/30/08 1:07pm Cecile:

Now i want to hear Detroit Rock City....

Thu. 10/30/08 1:13pm Carmichael:

No offense to Mr. Yonkers, but I made a dash for the cheesecake during his song.

Back to Ramblin' & Tamblin' .....

Thu. 10/30/08 1:23pm dc pat:

yeah, this Ignatz is nice.

Thu. 10/30/08 1:26pm Cecile:

Thu. 10/30/08 1:41pm AnAnonymousParty:

Thu. 10/30/08 1:42pm Cecile:

Why do I get Aphrodite's Child mixed up with the Shocking Blue or John's Children....?

Thu. 10/30/08 1:44pm AnAnonymousParty:

Who'd guess Vangelis is behind this? Well, Aegean Sea, maybe.

Thu. 10/30/08 1:47pm Carmichael:
