I'm out for some lunch

Thu. 10/23/08 12:11pm Neil:

It just occurred to me that the 7 inch week started on October 20, Mickey Mantle's birthday. So this whole thing was a tribute to the Mick?

Thu. 10/23/08 12:17pm Molly:

I LOVED the Ney Matogrosso song.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:25pm Bad Ronald:

This Cale tune totally kicks ass!!!

Thu. 10/23/08 12:26pm bzul:

I just heard the other day the term for a bunch of rats, (gas exposure notwithstanding) - on the order of murder of crows, pride of lions, etc.

Anybody know it?

Thu. 10/23/08 12:29pm Bad Ronald:

Law Firm

Thu. 10/23/08 12:30pm Cecile:

Thu. 10/23/08 12:40pm Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!

Thu. 10/23/08 12:40pm Cecile:

wow, the subject of that 6 boys song is getting PLAYED.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:40pm Cecile:

I mean the singer of the song. and the 6 boys.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:40pm bzul:

A "mischief".

Don't know how official that is or who certifies such things, but I'm guessing some pretty organized rats negotiated it down from something way more nasty 'n hostile. And anything more than half a dozen still calls for a word of more urgently ugly upset, I'd think, dependin' on proximity.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:42pm Cecile:

oh....it's a teenage death song...I git it.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:44pm Bad Ronald:

colony of rats
horde of rats
mischief of rats
pack of rats
plague of rats
swarm of rats

Thu. 10/23/08 12:47pm Cecile:

six rats whispered "goodbye Bad Ronald"

Thu. 10/23/08 12:48pm bzul:

Bach o' rats.
Cig o' rats.
Zig o' rats.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:58pm raga:

scott's the platter pushin' pappa of the warped, off-center, off-axis, 45@33 variety

Thu. 10/23/08 1:08pm Parq:

I like Bad Ron's first answer better.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:13pm Sean Daily:

Willard of rats.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:18pm Sean:

But I wonder if he's going back to Miami. It's such a... SUBTLE theme.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:30pm bzul:

Yeah, drop the BS, willya, Joe the plumber?

Thu. 10/23/08 1:40pm Bad Ronald:

Thu. 10/23/08 1:41pm Cecile:

Thu. 10/23/08 1:42pm Cecile:

I've never heard Mark Farmer sound so good.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:43pm Negator:

Gimme Shelter must've been in Grand Funk's uppers phase. I can see why they were so hot with the female slaves...

Thu. 10/23/08 1:44pm Bad Ronald:

I heard that Clinton had to buy the mothership back from Aerosmith in th 90's.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:44pm Catfish J. Rivers:

I'm normally working now and missing this time slot. Show is most excellent. I'm dancing around the living room like a nut with my dog!

Thu. 10/23/08 1:52pm Bad Ronald:

ITT is that you?

Thu. 10/23/08 1:53pm michael from doerentrup:

studio braun used to do this stuff live with about 400 people in the audience.....i never saw it but it was supposedly stupidly funny.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:54pm Lupica:

WFMU with Scott Williams at the helm is totally where Connie Francis meets the Strangulated Beatoffs. I would like a t-shirt stating as much, stat.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:55pm Bad Ronald:

Hats off Mike - For the 7" brainstorm!

Thu. 10/23/08 1:57pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Lupica, HI! I'm goin' to the cheese shop today in Hoboken. With resume in hand, yes.

Thu. 10/23/08 1:58pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Thu. 10/23/08 1:59pm C:

Thu. 10/23/08 1:59pm Negator:

Thu. 10/23/08 2:19pm Negator:

Scott, now I see why you were so excited earlier.

Thu. 10/23/08 2:20pm Ike:

I feel like a mouse strapped to a record on a turntable that's about to explode, and the whole turntable is on a conveyor belt, heading towards a dark place in a factory. And it's fun! Woo hoo!

Thu. 10/23/08 2:34pm AnAnonymousParty:

Thu. 10/23/08 2:48pm AnAnonymouParty:

Who's playing with the Click-Clacks?

Thu. 10/23/08 2:48pm Purple Drank:

"For those who don't know...DJ Screw, born Robert Earl Davis Jr (RIP,1971–2000), was a central figure in the Houston hip hop scene. His innovation included the trademark technique of slowing down the basic tracks of a cut when he remixed it(screwed and chopped). Slowing down the song was supposed to recreate the effect of using Promethazine with Codeine also known as "lean" or "purple drank" in Houston slang. He was the main mixtape/street album mixer for the huge Houston hip hop South Park Coalition. During the early '90s, he invited some of Houston's most renowned rappers from the south side of the city to flow on his Screw tapes. "

I prefer Ludes.
