Thu. 10/23/08 12:11pm From: Neil

It just occurred to me that the 7 inch week started on October 20, Mickey Mantle's birthday. So this whole thing was a tribute to the Mick?

Thu. 10/23/08 12:17pm From: Molly

I LOVED the Ney Matogrosso song.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:25pm From: Bad Ronald

Thu. 10/23/08 12:26pm From: bzul

I just heard the other day the term for a bunch of rats, (gas exposure notwithstanding) - on the order of murder of crows, pride of lions, etc.

Anybody know it?

Thu. 10/23/08 12:40pm From: Cecile

wow, the subject of that 6 boys song is getting PLAYED.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:40pm From: Cecile

I mean the singer of the song. and the 6 boys.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:40pm From: bzul

A "mischief".

Don't know how official that is or who certifies such things, but I'm guessing some pretty organized rats negotiated it down from something way more nasty 'n hostile. And anything more than half a dozen still calls for a word of more urgently ugly upset, I'd think, dependin' on proximity.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:42pm From: Cecile

oh....it's a teenage death song...I git it.

Thu. 10/23/08 12:44pm From: Bad Ronald

Thu. 10/23/08 1:44pm From: Bad Ronald

Thu. 10/23/08 2:48pm From: AnAnonymouParty

Who's playing with the Click-Clacks?

Thu. 10/23/08 2:48pm From: Purple Drank

"For those who don't know...DJ Screw, born Robert Earl Davis Jr (RIP,1971–2000), was a central figure in the Houston hip hop scene. His innovation included the trademark technique of slowing down the basic tracks of a cut when he remixed it(screwed and chopped). Slowing down the song was supposed to recreate the effect of using Promethazine with Codeine also known as "lean" or "purple drank" in Houston slang. He was the main mixtape/street album mixer for the huge Houston hip hop South Park Coalition. During the early '90s, he invited some of Houston's most renowned rappers from the south side of the city to flow on his Screw tapes. "
