If you come to the Netherlands make sure you go outside of Amsterdam, so you can get a real impression of the Netherlands. Check out Utrecht and Groningen for instance as well :)

As for hiphop, there are a lot different scenes over here. Everything from mainstream hiphop to underground stuff both in Dutch and English. Check out these links to get an impression of the stuff I personally like:
