Playlist for Irene Trudel - October 13, 2008

Mondays 3pm - 6pm on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Music floating on calmer seas is "netted" by my ears and released to the hungry listeners. It's a stringy catch, but frequently live and always delectable.

As a contemporary of Nick Drake, John Martyn and Roy Harper, guitarist Michael Chapman first emerged on the folk-music circuits of Cornwall, moving on to the fabled London scene. could you slip in Subdivision Blues by Tom T. Hall if you have it? That goes thematically.

I love this song, BTW!

Yes I went to school with Nico Korner and his brother and sister. I had some bad experience with his dad's windowpane and ended in hospital. Nico hung himself a few years later. :( Alexis played to us after school at our blues club once, it was great.
