Live performance and chat with Michael Chapman

As a contemporary of Nick Drake, John Martyn and Roy Harper, guitarist Michael Chapman first emerged on the folk-music circuits of Cornwall, moving on to the fabled London scene. Blending elements of folk, jazz and classical styles, he created his own unique catalog of challenging, often autobiographical original compositions and established a formidable reputation as an intense live performer and musical innovator. Listener comments!

  Mon. 10/13/08 3:04pm Cecile:

could you slip in Subdivision Blues by Tom T. Hall if you have it? That goes thematically.

I love this song, BTW!

Yes I went to school with Nico Korner and his brother and sister. I had some bad experience with his dad's windowpane and ended in hospital. Nico hung himself a few years later. :( Alexis played to us after school at our blues club once, it was great.
  Mon. 10/13/08 5:31pm mh:

  Tue. 7/7/09 10:13pm Marc Evans:

Hi,i was doing a bit of research and you came up,i also knew Nico and Damian and Sapho,i recently went to Damian's funeral,it is strange how all the children die, anway i still see Bobby Korner as i have a house near the chapel, where she lives in Wales, and she is still going strong, terrible to bury your husband and chidren before yourself,my wife and i see her regulary and are in touch with Helen Nico's widow,i do miss all of them as they were all friends
