All hail Monica, almost certainly the only WFMU program host who would begin a show with a Duke Pearson record. As Louis Armstrong once sang, it's so nice to have you back where you belong!

Hi Monica, according to Guy Ottewell in the Astronomical Calendar (2008) , the Harvest Moon is the full moon in close proximity to the autumn equinox. This year that occurred with the full moon on Sept. 15th! Oh well it's a beautiful moon here in Vermont tonight. Listening to your station for the first time and enjoying. Ciao

Computer speakers: if the budget allows, and if your setup allows placing something centrally instead of on either side of a monitor... the B&W Zeppelin sounds really surprisingly good (and looks cool, too). It's designed as an iPod-dock speaker, but has a line-in (digital or analog) as well.

Or if you can find them, the Acoustic Energy "Aego" speakers sound surprisingly sweet for how teensy they are, and they'll nestle on either side of the screen.

And YOU TOO wilbur - need an astrological organizer for this show - you game??

Kind offer there Miss M, but I tend towards the scientific end of the spectrum and have zero knowledge in the astrological realm. Basically I just like to look up and see what's going on...W
