Laurie:
This dental hygiene song is going to be featured on the best TV show ever: Yo Gabba Gabba.
Wed. 9/24/08 3:11pm
Laurie:
I mean, seriously, if "Party in My Tummy" isn't the best song ever, I don't know what is.
Wed. 9/24/08 3:12pm
Parq:
Not sure about some of your identities -- Who You! Laurie, the "Pick It Up" one makes me wish I still had a kid that age.
Wed. 9/24/08 3:16pm
Cecile:
Is this a new Giant Sand track?
Wed. 9/24/08 3:18pm

Dead Corporate Eyes:
Speaking of Sweet Maria, when is Maria L coming back?
Wed. 9/24/08 3:30pm
maria:

Wed. 9/24/08 3:33pm
maria L:

Wed. 9/24/08 4:04pm
tim:
I concur! We are here. Just grooving. Yes, grooving. God, can we say that much without putting on a bunch of irony or faux sophistication?
Wed. 9/24/08 4:05pm
Parq:
Oh man, "Candy Bars for Elvis" and "Understanding Marx" (see Ken's playlist) on the same day!
Wed. 9/24/08 4:06pm
Ken:
Dow closed down only 29. It's a regular rally!
Wed. 9/24/08 4:06pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:
Irony and faux sophistication are the milk and honey of paradise that we feed upon. Do not shortchange us and make us go without sustenance.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:06pm
lightning:
Why is there so little appreciation for Leonard Cohen in this country (USA) he is not touring here, while he is selling out concert halls all over Europe?
Wed. 9/24/08 4:07pm
WaveyDavey:
"Candy Bars for Elvis" made me cry.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:07pm
WaveyDavey:
And "Afraid of Television" made me happy again. Thanks Irwin
Wed. 9/24/08 4:10pm
Cecile:
I apologize, for the American people, lightning. And also for aerosol cheese in a can.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:11pm
Cecile:
I personally are petrified of the Voidoids.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:11pm
tim:
God! I can't believe that song! The same thing *nearly* happened to me. Except it was OutKast, and it was a Lance Rye-Chee, not a candy bar. And he didn't give me any money. Actually, I just left it at the desk where they were recording, not even sure if OutKast was in there, but the security guard said he was. The crazy thing is, I had been sleeping in a car for ELEVEN DAYS!
Wed. 9/24/08 4:12pm
Jeffersonic:
What happened to Stimulator? I thought they were off to a great start....
Wed. 9/24/08 4:15pm
cribley:

Ken:
Welcome Wavey Davey! Long time no see!
Wed. 9/24/08 4:31pm
Cecile:
Oh, lord. I was in Australia when Fernando was number 1 on the charts for like a year.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:33pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:
Fernando must be a "meme" in weirdo music circles--we had a (large) group of Cleveland musicians do the same thing earlier this year.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:46pm
poll:
harvard or yale?
Wed. 9/24/08 4:49pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:
Collard or kale?
Wed. 9/24/08 4:52pm

Misogyny never sounded so refined.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:54pm
stingy d:
collards and kale!
Wed. 9/24/08 4:55pm
Laurie:
Oh, latent homosexuality. When will you ever stop being funny?
Wed. 9/24/08 4:57pm
stingy d:
i ate fried beef liver yesterday... it was weird.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:57pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:
ick.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:58pm
tim:
Irwin, let's hope it's Leonard Cohen's first record that kills you... I mean, if a cd HAS to kill you. Of course I hope NO cd kills you... or anyone else, in the first place. Your surviving family could seek damages from [Sincerely.] L. Cohen, though... you should leave notes, undated, with LC's lyrics and that would make a good case for undue influence on his part "That night that you planned to go clear" and all that. He must have plenty of dough, so if he kills someone, he has to pay.
Wed. 9/24/08 4:58pm
Leonard Graves Phillips:
homosexuality will always be funny!!!
Wed. 9/24/08 4:59pm
stingy d:
yea - also had duck fat potato with it.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:00pm
Bad Ronald:
Both latent and blatant.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:01pm
Laura L:
Hey, this song is Galaxy of Emptiness, not the Sunshine blues thing.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:02pm
stingy d:
homosex is defintely a joke to me.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:04pm
Jeffersonic:
Stingy d, DCE: I used to deliver newspapers to a family whose house ALWAYS smelled like fried beef liver and cowshit, and this was in suburban northern Indiana....
Wed. 9/24/08 5:05pm
Parq:
Jeffersonic, I hope they tipped well, at least.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:07pm
stingy d:
i ate beef liver at a cool hip place to be type place thats always too loud. i had wanted to try it, you know, cus, i never had lvier before. didn't toally regret it, defnitely don't reccomend it though
Wed. 9/24/08 5:11pm
guido:
FYI -
That was Galaxy of Emptiness by B Orton, not I Wish I Had Never Seen the Sunshine
Wed. 9/24/08 5:11pm
Laura L:
Hey, no really, that was not I Wish I'd Never Seen the Sunshine--it was Galaxy of Emptiness. You reading these here comments? Maybe it's that powdered creamer got to you!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:15pm
Jeffersonic:
Parq: Other than the stench, they seemed to be decent folk. Maybe displaced farm types, though I never saw any evidence of livestock. (friendly enough, tipped o.k.) But they always had me come inside when I collected for the paper, and the smell was barely tolerable. Sort of creepy. Back then, I didn't have the nerve to ask them about it.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:15pm
Laurie:
Is this an advertisement for RAPEX?
Wed. 9/24/08 5:16pm
Austin:
This song makes me miss Michelle.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:16pm
WaveyDavey:
Hujah for Lesbian Pride
Wed. 9/24/08 5:16pm
Irwin:
Playlist corrected on the Beth Orton. I mis-read the teensy CD typography. Thanks, list'n'rs.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:17pm
Cecile:
I hate beef liver.
I like rumaki, though.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:17pm
john paulie:
liver is very healthy, except that it's the real final resting place of all the kee-rap they feed beef cows: hormones, antibiotics, powdered creamer...
Wed. 9/24/08 5:18pm
Cecile:
Powdered creamer? Isn't that like cannibalism?
Wed. 9/24/08 5:20pm
Parq:
Oh no, I had to leave my desk for a minute, and I missed most of "Mother Rage"!! Iwin, *please* say that "Ronald Racist Sexist Rambo Baby Killer Reagan" is on today's list.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:20pm
stingy d:
grassfed cow.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:21pm
Cecile:
Oh, whew
That last song put me in a castratin' mood.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:22pm
Laurie:
As long as you guys are talking about weird meats and stuff... You can easily get your weird meat intake by consuming M&M's or Snickers or Twix or Snickers or Three Muskateers. Any lovely treat from the Mars Corporation is sure to be packed with ANIMAL RENNET. That's right, the mucosa extracted from freshly slaughtered newborn calves is now in your favorite candy bar. Mmmmmm mmmmmmmm! Yum!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:23pm
Cecile:
Who got rennet in my chocolate? Who got chocolate in my rennet?
Wed. 9/24/08 5:24pm
Bad Ronald:
Rocky Mountain Oysters!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:25pm
stingy d:

Wed. 9/24/08 5:27pm
Jeffersonic:
Haggis milkshakes for everyone!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:28pm
Bad Ronald:
Koy-bas!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:29pm
Laura L:
Sometimes you feel like a rennet, sometimes you don't, Almond Joy's got rennet, Mars's got mucosa!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:31pm
Todd 76%:
Anybody here old enough to remember Junket Rennet Custard? My mom was a fan and served it all the time. Chocolate and calf's stomach in an unbeatable creamy gross-out...just add milk and let the powdered rennet do its thing!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:31pm
stingy d:
what about a bounty bar?
and also what about a sky bar?
Wed. 9/24/08 5:31pm
Bad Ronald:

Bad Ronald:

Wed. 9/24/08 5:34pm
Cecile:
I got fed junket as a sickly child. It helped. I'm now a sickly adult.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:34pm
Parq:
All those ads featuring bare-breasted actresses, and now human milk -- PETA is nothing if not consistent.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:35pm
Cecile:
If meat is murder, I guess I'm like the BTK killer.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:36pm
Bad Ronald:
if not titillating...
Wed. 9/24/08 5:38pm
Cecile:
I was going to make a joke about milking a topic to death, but decided not to.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:39pm
Bad Ronald:
but you did and I thank you!
Wed. 9/24/08 5:40pm
Cecile:
ooopsh.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:41pm
Jeffersonic:
Ben & Jerry's Human Milk Ice Cream. Think of the different flavors, and the potentially offensive titles and marketing campaigns. Maybe we'll finally get to see "Berry Garcia".
Wed. 9/24/08 5:42pm
?:
And here it is, late September. Time soon for Trick or Teat.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:45pm
Bad Ronald:
wottabout "Dolly Carton"? (I know it's a stretch)
Wed. 9/24/08 5:45pm
john paulie:

Wed. 9/24/08 5:48pm
Jeffersonic:

Wed. 9/24/08 5:52pm
Parq:
Try it? Heck, I'd be happy if I could say it.
Wed. 9/24/08 5:59pm
Cecile:
Oh, sweet merciful crap. That high note ruptured my spleen.
