  1:11pm
whodat:

Im still reeling that Sho'Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, died...
  1:13pm
Taylor:

If you had "Willow's Song" from Wicker Man, it would make my morning complete (I'm on West coast)
  1:13pm
Sean Daily:

[insert clever and insightful comment here]
  1:17pm
north guinea hills:

ooooo..., i love "willow's song", good request
  1:20pm
Tony Coulter:

Hi Taylor & NGH,

"Willow's Song" is certainly an all-time classic. I might be able to slip it in today ... no promises, though....
  1:21pm
gumby:

Lounge "Feelings" & painfully white boy Hendrix. My day is made!!!!
  1:22pm
Bad Ronald:

Sean D - What happened to the "First Comment woo hoo" campaign?
  1:24pm
Sean Daily:

I detected a certain amount of hostility to it after a while, Ronald. One of the DJs (possibly Irwin, but I honestly forget exactly who) even started deleting them. So I figured I ought to give it a rest.
  1:27pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

It was funny for a minute or two
  1:27pm
Bad Ronald:

hmm - I found it sort of comforting. Like something you can always depend on but I can see the other side of the coin too... Thanks!
  1:33pm
Bad Ronald:

Dick Hyman heh heh heh.
  1:34pm
Sean Daily:

Well, Ronald, it was fun while it lasted. I had a contest going with North Guinea Hills on Billy Jam's show for a while to see who put up his Woo Hoo post first.
  1:35pm
Tony Coulter:

Yeah, I know ...It's fun to be able to say "Dick Hyman" on the air....
  1:38pm
Sean Daily:

He said Hyman... heh heh huh huh huh heh heh heh huh heh heh huh heh heh heh huh huh heh heh heh heh...
  1:39pm
Bad Ronald:

SD - Now Billy IS someone who would tolerate such shenanegans!

TC - didn't you play an artist named Merkin recently?
  1:42pm
Tony Coulter:

Yep, I'm a Merkin player....
  1:43pm
Bad Ronald:

I got a chuckle out of that one too!
  1:49pm
GP:

Hyman, Kaufmann and Lansky....what, now we have law firms making music?
  2:11pm
frenchee:

OOOOh, Portland!

Will you see Hova & Belinda and DJ Wah-Wah?

great show today...
  2:12pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

we got a guy in Cleveland who plays lots of "private press" demos from the early 70s. I always wonder, where the hell do you come up with this stuff???
  2:17pm
Tony Coulter:

The demos I played today were provided by the artistes ... and are actually new (recent) recordings....

A greasy kid hook-up is always possible!
  2:21pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

those are recent?? I guess they still use reel to reel 4 track!
  2:22pm
Bad Ronald:

I'd send you some of our stuff Tony but I don't think it fits your format...
  2:24pm
Parq:

Tony, if you do see the Najars, give Georgia a hug from all her aunts and uncles in audience land.
  2:31pm
GP:

Dang Tony.....you gotta bring us up from that depressing track.....
  2:32pm
GP:

Sojuorners are cool...I could stand to listen to more of them
  2:40pm
M.:

Was that Quandrum records? For the Sojourners?
  2:41pm
Tony Coulter:

Yep ... Quandrum
  2:44pm
GP:

Paul Ngozi sounds like he got ahold of an Ozzy starter set
  2:45pm
Bad Ronald:

Diggin Paul Ngozi - thanks! yeah sounds like ozzy meets Lee Jackson.
  2:54pm
gumby:

Seems to be some digital confusion, "wrapped around your index thumb" a rhymn is a rhymn I guess.
  2:56pm
bzul:

There you go, pointing forepinkies at people.
  2:58pm
Negator:

Tony, I'm having a bad trip, man. What can I do? I need a spiritual guide out of this.... Ahhhhh, Dry Ice is makin' me feel better. Thnx
  3:02pm
GP:

Zambian Ozzy...whoa..thats an interesting image
  12:08pm
quinn.christie:

around 2:00:00 i noticed a haunting melody behind the talking that i hadn't heard for a looong time. was it tom recchion?
  2:40pm
Tony Coulter:

Yep! It *was* Tom Recchion, from his CD "Chaotica." In fact, all of the bed music throughout the show was from that great album....
  8:06pm
Gail Palmisano:

Really enjoyed finding the song from "Winter's Too Cold for Sneakers." I saw the original play; I still have the album. I am now 55 and it still ranks as one of the most magical shows I've ever seen. Thanks.
  1:42pm
Boniface Mutumbwe:

Paul Ngozi ( Give Me A Hand): I have been looking for this track for a long time. Great stuff. I remember Paul rocked Zambia in the 70s. Just how can I get a downloadable version, mate?
