Hi Debbie--great tracks, kudos to you! I'm listening at work, and these songs are keeping me humming along!

Hi Debbie: you 've quickly become one of my favorite DJ's!
keep the needle in the groove!
How do you collect music? do you have a zillion 45's from record fairs and thrift stores?

Sun. 8/17/08 4:26pm From: pfapfap

I live in California, stream FMU whenever I can. Loving this show! Familiar music, but tracks I've never heard. This gives a much better musical picture of the era than whatever's survived endless compilations advertised on late-night television.

Thanks, Jeff, I have been a hopeless record collector for years but I also buy stuff on itunes a lot now too. There's so much out there, it's endless

Sun. 8/17/08 4:51pm From: Tom

hey, listening from edinburgh and loving the show! I wonder do you have any early/interesting Fats domino? love his song 'the fat man' but have never found anything else quite like it. Thanks!

Great Set!!!!

In reply to the previous poster -
Proper in the UK has a least 2 CD sets of the early Cosimo Matassa records (New Orleans J&M Studio) where Fats, Dave Bartholomew and many others recorded.

If interested do a search online for Proper CDs, or you may order from Louisiana Music Factory.
