that fireworks display was probably the big berkeley heights show. it's pretty legendary, i think it's put on by one of the (very few) big family fireworks companies.

also, the shamblers' blog is full of the sort of synth DIY things that make me drool. and their set was awesome.

ah, that'd probably be the famous irvington howitzer festival, then. it's a particularly exciting event if you're flying out of newark at that time.
