Listener comments!

  9:14am
True Fan:

If there is a better radio station in this country, I'd like to hear about it ......... so I can go over there and cut their wires. Hee, hee. Good morning, Hatch.
  9:16am
fishmonkeystew:

I was gonna ask for a birthday request, but yer doin' just fine without any suggestions, as usual. Good Morning, Hatch!
  9:17am
Hatch:

I was actually thinking about soliciting birthday requests today, believe it or not.
  9:18am
Ripley:

I believe!
  9:22am
fishmonkeystew:

Well, if you're feeling generous, some Can would be nice, or perhaps some Zappa? Turned 36 today. Feels a lot like 35. Or 25 for that matter. Thanks!
  9:22am
maggie:

is this the track from holy mountain? what is it???
  9:23am
maggie:

nevermind, nevermind
  9:33am
PMD:

Randy! cool.
The song 'Brandy' then came to my head, but I couldn't quite adapt the lyrics to fit Randy Newman.
  9:34am
bill:

it's my son Axel's birthday - he's 10 today - a whole decade
  9:37am
Hatch:

Does your son like any music in particular?
  9:39am
Drew:

It's my birthday in 12 days!
  9:40am
Hatch:

That counts.
  9:42am
bill:

he hasn't developed his own particular tastes - but he likes it when i play mouse on mars, beastie boys ... mahler symphonies
  9:50am
R. P.:

It's my b-day tomorrow. If that counts, here's a request for "Being It" off of Arthur Russell's "World of Echo."
  9:53am
Ypsilanti Doug:

Happy birthday everyone!!
  9:54am
fishmonkeystew:

Thanks Hatch! And it really is my b-day. Honest!
  9:59am
Steve Gugel:

it is one of my employees' birthday today! His name is Nick Smith - from Eldersburg Maryland. We'll be listening and he doesn't know I'm doing this. SURPRISE NICK!

  10:28am

  10:30am

Did anyone see U-roy's performance at summerstage on Sunday? How was it in a few words?
Hi-ho Hatch!
  10:36am
Sarah:

Thank you Hatch! Love to FMS, his wife, and Trouble (whose show I love and whose birthday I am proud to share.) Also an interesting Cancerian coincidence: I have a friend in Baltimore named Hatch whose birthday is this month. Many fine Cancers and FMU listeners.
  10:41am
Drew:

Can you play power pop for my birthday?
  10:41am
Drew:

  10:49am

Sometimes I try to guess the sum of the math problem. 636.
  10:49am
Sarah:

Did anyone else see the new Arthur Russell documentary called Wild Combination? It was so good!
  10:53am
R. P.:

Thanks, Hatch! You've made number 46 a little easier to take. Sarah - yes, I saw Wild Combination at AFI Silver. It was beautiful and moving. Rarely do you see the visual and musical components of a film mesh so well with each other, and with the content. I was surprised to hear that this was Matt Wolf's first feature length.
  10:59am
Sarah:

That's where I saw it, too! We must have both been there. Yeah, that guy was articulate and talented.
  11:03am

  11:13am
Sean Daily:

But does he need to find a way-ee-yay to understand?
  11:14am
Hatch:
