Mon. 6/16/08 11:02am SueB:

is this the same guy who got a ride from the airport and scared the shit out of his driver?

Mon. 6/16/08 11:12am Cecile:

I liked mixtapes because it was so fun to decorate all the j-cards.

Do the cassettes have to be from exes? I have nice ones that I traded with an Internet that were thematic and really nicely put together. We'd have a theme, and do proper artwork, and go to town.

Mon. 6/16/08 11:12am Cecile:

Internet friend...

Mon. 6/16/08 11:13am Sara:

Why keep them? Why keep them?? That's like asking why anyone would keep a love letter. That's basically what they are, right — audio love letters using other people's words. Love the site by the way! I was listening through it last week, really looking forward to what pops up next

Mon. 6/16/08 11:15am north guinea hills:

i made my girlfriend a mix tape when we first met. i even provided a walkman so she could listen to it. we're moving in together at the end of the summer. it must have worked.

Mon. 6/16/08 11:16am Cecile:

Reader, I married him.

;D

Mon. 6/16/08 11:16am dc pat:

#1 song for a mix tape: Why by the Dirty Wurds.

Mon. 6/16/08 11:16am Cecile:

that's a comment to NGH. I did not marry my Internet friend, just in case you care.

Mon. 6/16/08 11:19am SueB:

#1 name for mix tape: MIX TAPE

Mon. 6/16/08 11:22am jonathan:

i'm pretty sure that every mix tape i received and gave had "please, please, please, let me get what i want" as the last song.

Mon. 6/16/08 11:25am dc pat:

If I remember correctly, London's Burning popped up a lot

Mon. 6/16/08 11:27am north guinea hills:

when you can mix some stockhausen scratchings. w/ some sun ra & afro pop, birdsongs, and mojave 3, and she's impressed, you know you're onto something

Mon. 6/16/08 11:39am gerardo:

Mon. 6/16/08 11:44am Bad Ronald:

Yes congrats Benjamen! Excellent show. However, I beg to differ - Never too early for Punk! Keep up the great work. - thanks!

Mon. 6/16/08 11:45am north guinea hills:

"Rudy Can't Fail"

Mon. 6/16/08 11:52am swami:

"feckless"?

Mon. 6/16/08 11:53am R.P.:

Three hours sleep? Now I feel better about the four I got. But it was worth it to see Thalia Zedek and Major Stars last night.

Mon. 6/16/08 11:53am Bad Ronald:

per dictionary.com -
having no sense of responsibility; indifferent; lazy.

Mon. 6/16/08 11:56am Bad Ronald:

the Clash lyric reads:
How you get a rude and a reckless?
Don't you be so crude and a feckless
You been drinking brew for breakfast
Rudie can't fail

Mon. 6/16/08 11:58am BW:
